Perfect spot for a springtime break!
My 15 year old son and I stayed at Don and Amy's beautiful home in Kenwood. We chose this spot because it was a beautiful and a perfect place to stay while visiting with family in the area. Each room in the house is a pleasure to spend time in -- the kitchen is bright and welcoming, the bedrooms are quiet and comfortable, the living room is cozy and relaxing. But the backyard is the best! Beautiful with so many places to relax and read, eat breakfast, have a glass of wine at the end of the day, and visit with friends and family. Thank you both for sharing your home with us. We will be back!

5/5 Excellent

Wonderful stay
We really enjoyed our stay in this charming cottage. It was spotless, beds were comfy, kitchen was well-equipped, and was decorated beautifully. The owners were easy to communicate with and left thorough and clear instructions regarding the property. We would happily stay again!

3/5 Okay

Rules, control, and sparse supplies
Overall this is an adequate property. The cottage itself is well decorated and just as it looks in the pictures. There are many areas around the property to lounge around and take in the outdoors and trees. There were some issues while we were there for our ten-day vacation. The beds at this property are NOT comfortable. All of us who stayed woke up achy due to the mattresses being too firm. There were many small complaints that I could list regarding the property. Still, the biggest being the air condition being controlled. The owner had a preset thermostat at 76, with no way for the renter to change it. When we asked if we could make the home cooler, the answer was NO, open the windows. So we were awoken every morning with street noise around 6 am. The owner made an excuse about the power company and set rules; however, any hotel you stay at would allow the patron to control the air. Also to note there were solar panels on the roof, so the property is run partially with solar. Overall, the homeowner has a list of rules that the renter must follow, and we joked about this the entire time we were there. Talk about feeling like you are in high school again. I realize that tenents must do simple things like empty the trash, but if you would like the garbage out for a ten-day stay, it would be nice to have more than 3 garbage bags. Our goal in staying at the property was to make some meals and go out a bit, yet, the kitchen did not have adequate supplies to enjoy ourselves without replacing things like paper towels, trash bags, counter cleaner, etc. Also, there was mold in the washing machine, so that we couldn't launder our clothes. Then I was terrified that we were likely sleeping on sheets that were not entirely clean. When mentioning this to the owner, they denied that there was mold, and claimed it was rust, then cleaned the washer's soap dispenser but warned me not to use bleach due to the septic system. Note: there is bleach in the dishwashing packets. Seriously, a little bleach is not going to kill the leaching system in the septic system. Honestly, we got through our stay and were happy to go. We will not return to this property and hope that things improve for those who want to stay. Now I don't want to be a complainer and hardly ever write reviews, but I would hate for things to continue as they are. These owners need to realize people are on vacation and want to enjoy themselves, not be patronized, and have excuse after excuse.

Perfection
We were looking for a relaxing get away with a few visits to wineries and this was the perfect cottage for 2 couples. The outdoor spaces are just as lovely as the quaint cottage, oozing with historical character. Well stocked and great communication. We highly recommend!
