“After staying 2 nights at the Zen cottage in Gardiner (same host), I decided to stay an extra night, but only this location was available, so I booked. I walked in to a very tidy beautiful space, albeit a lot less work went into restoring this space compared to the prior, furniture definitely not as cozy. “Beautiful place tucked back in the woods. Very relaxing and incredibly clean. The free coffee was a nice touch too. Will 100% be returning to The Gunks because of this house. ”

“I was very happy with the property. I shared the place with my adult children for a family wedding. It was wonderful to have some quality, screenfree, engaging time with them. We took full advantage of the games and cards provided. The bedding was sooo comfy that I came home and ordered the same pillows that were there. I would definitely add the fact that the water is “well water” to the listing so people know in advance to bring water. All in all a great experience.”

“We had a great time. The tent and toilet were clean. We appreciated the water provided and the cookware. The only thing to note is that there is a bit of walking on a rocky trail before reaching the campsite (not next to the parking spot). The river was fun to explore but can be difficult for younger kids to get to. The campsite is close to Minnewaska State Park, very convenient. ”

“While the room itself was clean, there were several issues that make this a bad stay. Both of the sheets were clean, but had some orange and red stains. The towels provided were tattered and had significant holes in them. The gap between the outside door and the floorboard was quite large, with nothing stopping bugs/mice from coming inside.
