All the attributes of a good old fashioned hotel!

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: We liked the choice of places to dine, and the easy access to the high street and also a stone's throw from the sea front. The seafood was divine!
Cons: Back entrance off the car park could be improved with some flowers etc, there were a few broken/run down windows in evidence -perhaps staff quarters?
Location: Waterville an interesting sea side village that has not been spoilt by commercialisation. Area is ideal for cycling, walking, fishing and boating.
My elderly aunt and I spent a very pleasant night at Butlers Arms in June 2014. Both of us had stayed at this hotel on two other occasions many years ago and and were delighted to find that it had not lost any of its charm. From the receptionist right through to the dining room staff we were made feel very welcome and it was obvious that these people were properly trained and enjoyed working there! Nothing was a problem.

Beautiful location. Ring of Kerry

Posted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: Location
Cons: Updating the rooms
Location: Enjoyed eating at the Lobster Bar.
Spent two day and nights at the hotel. Location was great to explore the ring of kerry. The people were friendly and helpful. There's a local grocery store, post office behind the hotel. A community center just up the hill, they will wash and dry yours cloths for 14 euros.

Hotel is in an amazing location in Waterville. Hotel is very dated but staff and service were faultless. Food was good also in Fishermans bar. Warm and cosy place, would stay again

Great Location, Great Staff

Posted Sep 6, 2013
Pros: Location, Staff, Food
Cons: Price
Location: Amazing location, the Ring of Kerry is a dream. Town itsrlf very quiet not really a town more of a street!
A really nice place with really nice staff I would be comfortable recommending to friends travelling the Ring of Kerry. That said it could easily be improved... The food was great but very expensive and the rooms were boiling hot. Staff were excellent very helpful with local knowledge and helping us get out to Skellig Micheal.

Hotel with a nice view

Posted Aug 24, 2013 on Hotels
The surrounding area is nice. The location of the hotel is good as the city itself is small. However the website of the hotel is probably abit outdated, as it says there is bicycle for renting but there is in fact none. Anyway, the room was nice and the view from the room was facing the sea which was also nice. Breakfast is good.
