Good location near downtown in beautiful KillarneyPosted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: Location near downtown and National Park.
Cons: Not a thing.
Location: One may shop, walk in the National Park, hike a mountain, take a ride in a jaunty cart, and boat down the Gap of Dunloe. The Ring of Kerry is beautiful
We had a deluxe 3 person room, traveling with our daughter. Though there were 3 single beds, we could push 2 together for a double. He room was large and comfortable, and had an AC unit. There was a bath and shower. The staff was very nice. The bar served great food when we were too tired to go out, and the breakfast was superbly done every morning. The concierge was excellent, and always asked about our day when we came in. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in town in Killarney.

Casual, clean and comfortable. We were first given a room near a loud fan; we requested a change and were immediately moved to a quieter and more comfortable room.

Beautiful hotel in the centre of KillarneyPosted Apr 18, 2015
I have stayed at this hotel before and was looking forward to returning. It was all I remembered. A great friendly hotel with comfortable facilities. It is situated in the centre of Killarney with great pubs and eateries near by. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant. The night Porter John was a friendly face when you returned at night.

A lovely Irish welcomePosted Mar 29, 2015
Pros: The staff.
Location: A trip around the Ring of Kerry is essential. If you're not up to driving, there are several good tour operators who provide a one day out trip.
You are greeted by a wonderfully kind person at a desk rather than a reception counter. And you sit down at the desk across from her to fill out the registration information. It was a very nice touch. I wasn't up for a large meal, and the bartender was most kind in suggesting some items on the bar menu. I checked out early and was greeted by the night porter who was most helpful and made me a cup of coffee before I began my early morning journey. And, if you travel by either rail or coach, the hotel is a short walk from the train or the bus stations. Everyone in this hotel extends a true and genuinely warm Irish greeting.

Good but not Great.Posted Jan 22, 2015 on Hotels
Overall, this was a nice hotel. Some of the staff were extremely helpful to me. The room was nice but the mattress seemed very hard and there was a musty smell in the room. Found the meals, especially breakfast, too pricey. Ate out a lot.

Decent Hotel with much within walking distancePosted Dec 25, 2014
The hotel was overall nice but the staff seemed pretty indifferent to us. We never felt overalls welcome although they never did anything wrong either. The location was wonderful, within walking distance to bars, restaurants, and shopping. The room was nice but you can hear everything going on in the hallway without even trying to. It was a decent stay.

A Royal Kilkarney Experience!Posted Dec 3, 2014 on Hotels
Simply one of the finest, friendliest hotels in Co. Kerry's--delightful staff, wonderful location, lovely rooms! The front desk and bar staff were incredibly welcoming; we didn't want to leave. Centrally situated near downtown Kilkarney with easy access to bus and train stations. Fantastic pubs and shopping a stone's throw away. We will be staying here next time we visit Killarney.
