Hotel near the Muckross Park attractionsPosted Aug 29, 2015
Pros: Best of both the old and the new.
Location: Muckross Abbey ruins are just near by. Take a jaunting cart ride around the park and visit Muckross house for a view of how it was in grander times
Booked a king room with a very comfortable bed and large bathroom with separate bath and shower. Breakfast was very good and offered lots of choice from the buffet and dishes to order were included. Staff were lovely and very helpful, Chris the concierge was a mine of information about sights and how to get there. Parking on site was easy and we had the choice of three restaurants. Our first night was in The Jarvey's Rest pub with traditional Irish music and good pub food. The lounge also had very good food in a more exclusive and comfortable setting, leather lounges and fires and the bar men were great. our six days went all too quickly.

Excellent location for Ring of KerryPosted Jun 7, 2015
Loved the hotel. The food was delicious. Every thing was great! The only problem we had was exchanging money. All the other hotels exchanged $100 at no charge. Here they wanted to charge $10. Inconvenient b/c had to go to bank !

Amazing Value!Posted May 10, 2015 on Hotels
This is an amazing hotel! We only paid $150 per night and received treatment which far exceeded the price. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the spa is beautiful, and the FREE breakfast feels like it should cost at least $30/person-- hot food like pancakes, eggs, bacon, etc, smoothies, fruits, cereals, cheeses... seriously mouthwatering. The restaurant the Yew Tree is also very nice and serves delicious food with great service. The hotel itself is located within beautiful Killarney National Park and is just a short walk from some stunning scenery. Absolutely no complaints and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling through Ireland!

Top hotelPosted May 6, 2015 on Hotels
Stayed during May bank holiday and I found Muckross House hotel to be a excellent expierence. The service couldn't be faulted and the hotel was to its 5 star status. Unfortunately during our stay the weather was typical Irish so I didn't get to see the beautiful surroundings in the best light. The weather didn't allow us to walk into town and this when the weather is poor is the hotels biggest disadvantage as you have to wait for a taxi and costs about €12 into town so if your not sure of the weather and your interested in sampling some of Killarney at night time you might prefer a hotel closer to the town!

An incredible experiencePosted Apr 21, 2015 on Hotels
An Incredible experience with high standards from warm, friendly and extremely helpful staff, immaculate rooms and great facilities. The location was just perfect surrounded by historical buildings and locations as well as granting immediate proximity to the Ring of Kerry. We will be returning for sure.

Very comfortable friendly hotelPosted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: The professional manner all staff performed their jobs without any need for close supervision.
Cons: We were most satisfied and could not fault anything. When something was wrong it was corrected swiftly.
Location: Killarney is full of spectacular scenery and friendly people. The Kerry ring and Dingle Peninsula are well know for the views.
From the moment we entered the hotel and met the concierge, Teddy, until we left three days later we were made to feel special. We were helped each with suggestions of where to visit and what to see. On the first evening after a tiring trip out to Killarney, we found the atmosphere in the adjoining Irish Pub, Jarveys, wonderful and welcoming. The following day it was our 50th Wedding Anniversary and we celebrated with an excellent meal in "The YewTree" restaurant. When the staff found out about our anniversary, we were made to feel special despite the fact there was a large wedding taking place in the hotel plus the mayhem associated with Ireland winning the Six Nations Rugby. We would definitely return and recommend the hotel to anyone looking for somewhere special.
