The hotel is nice, quite and very peaceful, which my family are really enjoy it during the stay. Staff are very helpful. The restaurant food is good, the highlight is fire wood pizza at weekend. My family had a great time during the stay.

Quiet and relaxing atmosphere

Posted Jul 17, 2017
Pros: The beach, pools, food and setting.
Cons: We were being bitten by insects. Perhaps one of the pools could be heated more in winter or even an outdoor spa would be good.
Location: Close to other food options and the northern beaches location was an easy drive to nearby shops and beaches.
My daughter and I had a short but lovely stay and would like to go back again sometime with my husband. The buffet breakfast was delicious and the pools and rainforest setting were paradise with the beach a quick and easy walk.

Good morning - thank you for your comments. We hope to see you again with your husband. FYI, one of our swimming pools (rock pool) is heated all year round to around 27 degrees. See you again.

Nice enviroment but spoiled by isolation

Posted Jul 11, 2017
Pros: Environment. Near access to Sky rail and train to Kuranda.
Cons: Address multiple room standards, and imagining that anyone these days wants to watch in house movies. More variety and price at the restaurant.
Location: You need a car. Don't stay without one and then you can drive to Trinity Beach for meals or better still just stay there.
The environment is great right in the middle of the rain-forest but it's isolated and the hotel restaurant is the only game in town. We ate there once only, and while the food is good the service was terrible and the prices resort high. $35-40 for a main plus $8 for sides. We were given the whole "have you booked" routine, and "I'll see if we can find a table for you" etc etc even though the place was half empty, and we thought, well maybe there are lots of bookings but after we waited for ten minutes for someone to take our order and answer our questions and then a further hour to get our meals these numbers dwindled down to a few tables, leaving us shrugging about what the fuss was about and why they would even bother. The in house moves are available on a weekly basis but it's its one of those places that tries to lock you out of the TV if you have your own device. Here's a tip, unplug the Ethernet cable at the back and you can then choose the input if you have one of the new modern rooms with a standard remote control.

Lovely hotel away from crowds, right on beach

Posted Jun 27, 2017
Great location, barely saw any other guests during our stay. Loved listening to the birds sing and the water fountain from our room. Very relaxing and the staff were very friendly. Restaurant was overpriced though, and bed was a bit old and squeaky.

A beautiful resort in a stunning location

Posted Apr 24, 2017
Pros: Situation, food, pools, helpful and attentive staff.
Cons: Very little. Perhaps the accommodation hut could be updated a little but, really, it wasn't a problem.
Location: Rainforest walks, pool swimming (it was still stinger season at the beach) and the Kuranda Skyrail, which we loved.
Kewarra Beach Resort is, quite simply, a special place. Situated in the rainforest but on the coast, it's truly stunning. The main highlight is the central bar/dining area, which is open to the rainforest. Plus the food is wonderful and the staff couldn't be more helpful or attentive. Another highlight, particularly for our 12 year old son, were the pool areas, which have been designed to look like rainforest lagoons. There was a great deal of wildlife surrounding us as well, including wallabies who fed on the lawns every evening. Our 'hut' accommodation was extremely comfortable. To be honest, we should have stayed longer here rather than splitting our time by venturing out onto a 'reef' resort afterwards, where standards are low. Next time we'll know better. If you're considering somewhere to stay in this region then you won't be disappointed with Kewarra Beach Resort.

Awesome location, relaxing holiday

Posted Apr 23, 2017 on Wotif
Pros: The tropical feel. You could of been anywhere in the world!
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Location: Location was an easy 25 minute drive from Cairns airport. Day trips to Cairns and Port Douglas were lovely, so close.
Would recommend this resort! Great atmosphere, so close to the beach, awesome accommodation, romantic. Hotel staff were fantastic. Great meals at the restaurant, compliments to the chef. Wish the holiday went longer! Would definitely go again.

A very nice resort style hotel

Posted Apr 18, 2017 on Wotif
Pros: Overall atmosphere and the setting, quiet and peaceful
Cons: Bedding is a little old and mattresses are quite soft, towels not really up to high quality standard but adequate
Location: A long way out of town, set in a rain forest, right on the beach, very quiet and peaceful
Modest bungalow style cabins set amongst the rain forest but situated right on the beach, restaurant very nice and open, staff quite helpful and friendly, situated on the northern beaches a fair way out of town, but very relaxing

Thank you for your comments - we love our peaceful area right on the beach. Cairns itself is around a 25 / 30 minute drive and we have a local bus stop not far from the resort, or we can organise rental cars. Further to your comments about the bed - we have new beds, they are only around 1 year old with plush toppers, which hopefully made you sleep well. Hope to see you again in the future.

Awesome Beach Holiday

Posted Apr 12, 2017 on Wotif
Pros: Everything about the Resort was breathtaking. From the time we drove up, it offered a very homely, welcoming feeling. Overall our holiday was "awesome
Cons: If anything, the water supply to the showers...! We felt that after a long day taking in the sights...that hot shower was lacking the flow...!!!
Location: The location was super. Not very far for the Scenic Railway to the Daintree and also the Skyrail. Even the drive to Port Douglas was not tiresome.
If you are looking to stay in a Resort that offers both the flora and fauna as well as the holiday by the beach, this is it..! The surrounds offer an extremely peaceful holiday " away from it all".... Thankyou so very much.
