Hurricane Irma

Unfortunatly, our 5 day stay turned into one and a half days due to hurricane Irma. However the staff remained extremely calm and professional.The rooms and property were beautiful. The food was excellent and the staff even more so. We got out two days before evacuation. Our only hope is the entire staff is safe and that amazing property survived.

Nice hotel for the price.

Pros: Affordable, clean, and comfortable.
Location: Walk or bike to everything.
The bed was comfortable, but no room service. I was not too happy with the location of our room, but I guess you need to pay extra for a beach view.

Nice hotel and very friendly staff. Not much beach

Pros: Great location and easy access to everything.
This was my first visit to Key West and it was great. We were unfortunately interrupted by Hurricane Irma but there is not much anyone could do about that. My only issue with this hotel came when there was a mandatory evacuation for all non-residents. The hotel did not communicate this at all and once it started we were pretty much on our own. I will say that the concierge, Jules, was extremely friendly and helpful. She tried her best to help us out but by the time we were notified by the hotel that we had to leave, there were no rental cars available. Overall the hotel was very nice. They had a lot to deal with during the evacuation so it was not that big of a deal. I will definitely return!

Beautiful hotel

Pros: Friendly staff, beautiful accommodations, and very clean.
Location: Perfect location and within waling distance to pretty much everything.
Everything was perfect. The resort is gorgeous. Our room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the tranquility pool and felt like our own private bungalow. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to make your stay amazing. Our A/C was broken and within 10 minutes of letting the front desk know someone was in our room fixing it. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to friends and family.

Location: not attracted
no same as described on the web. room is small and should be upgraded. extra money for resort and parking & etc is way too high. should more explain on the web.

Nice start, bad ending

Pros: Quiet location, comfortable beds & well kept grounds.
Cons: Housekeeping should come before 3-4pm. Better training of reception desk staff is needed, seems to be run by college kids, not professionals.
Location: Quiet area within walking distance (20 minutes) of of all the attractions on Duval Street.
Unfortunate timing withe the hurricane coming, which they handled very poorly. No communication even though they take cell phone & email information at check-in. We heard about the evacuation in town, asked the front desk about it at 3pm, and were told we had to leave by 11am the next morning. They offered no assistance on how to get out, even when asked. They pointed to the printed paper on the counter that said it was a mandatory evacuation with hurricane conditions. The local restaurants (workers & customers) were much more compassionate, accommodating, giving ideas and information on how to get out, and equally horrified by stories from guests at the Southernmost Beach Resort. Nice resort if there are no problems, but they seem ill-equipped to handle anything out of the ordinary.

Nice Hotel, close to beach.

Very nice hotel in excellent location. 3 pools, private beach and tanning pier. Very clean spacious room. Located on Duval Street so great access to the Main Street where it all happens. Would highly recommend this hotel.

One of Our Best Vacations

Pros: Rooms are nice and comfortable. Good staff. Great location.
From check-in to check-out, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The location is perfectly located besides the Southernmost Beach, that guests have free access and amenities to, and the Southernmost Café, a very good bar/restaurant (best peel-and-eat shrimp you'll have). The location is great since it's walking distance to the southernmost point, Hemmingway House, The Butterfly Sanctuary, and it's right on Duvall Street with all it's bars and clubs, restaurants, and shops. The bartenders at the Shore Bar were top-notch mixologists with friendly service. The gym was better and bigger than most you'll see in hotels/resorts with DBs, bench, TRX suspension, med balls, stability balls, cardio, and machines. The hotel concierge will get you a good price on scooter rentals. You'll enjoy this place.
