Conveniently located hotelPosted Mar 6, 2017 on Hotels
The accommodations need some major updating. Also, the cleaning needs to be improved. Certain corners and base boards appeared as though they have not been dusted in a while

booking through Wyndham is completely inconvenientPosted Jul 10, 2016
Hotel was ok, but when we went to check in, we found out we had to drive over 45 minutes round trip just to pick up a key. Luckily I called to find out exactly where to get the key- they were closed when we got there and had put it in a lockbox and I wasn't given the code in advance to get it out.

ABANDONED resort! Literally NO ONE there.Posted May 27, 2016
Pros: It was a beautiful location and would be a very nice place to stay during the ski season.
Cons: Notify potential guests when the resort is closed so that they can make alternative arrangements. This was false advertising.
Location: everything was closed
I booked this hotel for a 2-night business trip. It was a complete disaster. Apparently the entire resort was basically abandoned/not operational (see pics), but I was NOT notified this at the time of purchase. When I arrived at the resort for check-in, EVERYTHING was closed, including the front desk. I had to drive to a different town (Silverthorn, CO) to get my room key and a parking garage key from a lock box in a strip mall. It was literally a ghost town. No staff, no other guests. It felt like I had stepped into the movie, The Shining. The only living being I encountered on my 1st day was a moose in the middle of the entrance road. During the day, there was music playing in the common area where the restaurants and shops are located. This was unacceptable. On the 2nd night, the carbon monoxide alarm went off in my room at 3am. The gas fireplace had been out since 11 pm when I went to bed. I wasn't able to turn it off. Nor was I able to call anyone to fix the situation. This could have been a potentially dangerous, deadly situation. I set the alarm down the (empty) hall, opened the windows and waited for the sun to come up to leave. I could not get back to sleep wondering whether I was going to orphan my kids from CO2 in the Shining. I will not be returning.

DisappointingPosted Apr 26, 2016 on Hotels
I was very disappointed in the hotel. The picture showed the village of Keystone and the room was nowhere near there. The parking was horrible and hauling everything up from the distant parking spot was a pain. The bathroom was incredibly poorly cleaned. If you like the quiet, out of the way type of place and you plan on spending several days, then this hotel would be ok. There were dishes and a coffee pot and full kitchen. However I am irritated as its location was falsely represented.

Wyndham DebaclePosted Jan 5, 2016 on Hotels
Awful!. Check in details were not emailed to me. Reservation address was incorrect. Was given wrong password twice at lock box help phone. 3 hours to unravel errors. Hotels.com associate Sabrina(sp) was extremely helpful. Problem was strictly Wyndham.

Nice view from the roomPosted Oct 19, 2015 on Hotels
There was no AC, so the room was hot, but they did have a fan that i used which made it bearable. Overall, was OK.

Thankfully Only 1 Night...Posted Oct 13, 2015 on Orbitz
Well, we were hopeful our overnight getaway would be great but... 1. It would have been nice to have known that 99.9 of River Run's shops and restaurants are closed the month of October. So much for staying around the isolated local area... 2. The mattress had to have been leftover from a 1970's hotel as it sloped badly to the center and you could feel every spring within it. 3. The glasses, coffee pot and dishes were grossly dirty. Lip prints on the glasses that were in the cabinets and the coffee pot had dried coffee rings in it. Yum? 4. Baby's 1st potty in the restroom. Smallest and lowest bowl I think I've even seen at a resort. At 1st glimpse the place is wonderful and still could be so if more attention was paid to cleanliness and comfort. In hindsight we should have slept on the sofa... We should have stayed at Keystone Inn as our previous stay there was fantastic!
