The hotel was beautiful with access to a stunning beach and views. Sunbeds were enough.The rooms were more than comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was varied, plentiful and delicious. The pools were awesome, all four being a standard 1.2m deep. The activities and entertainment was fun and exciting. Wifi was great! There is something for everyone. Superb hotel for adults and kids alike. Access to a 24hr lobby bar, beach bar and 3 themed restaurants with delicious food (booking via Riu app). Nothing to fault. Taking home a memorable stay at Riu Jambo.

A cozy, intimate resort. Attentive, sincere and helpful staff. Very clean and lush environment. Lounge chairs available in different areas make for a relaxing downtime. Huts come equipped with hair dryers, kettle, coffee and tea. Guests can book tours or cabs from Guest Relations. I would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely and memorable stay at Upendo Beach Boutique Hotel. The location is simply beautiful, with breathtaking views and a peaceful ambiance. The staff were exceptional—especially Theo, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. Although I made an error in my booking by reserving the two-bedroom villa for only two adults, the hotel management showed great understanding. They kindly offered a generous solution by asking us to cover only 50% of the additional amount, which we truly appreciated. The villa itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed. The entire property is well-maintained and provides a wonderful boutique experience. One recommendation: it would be great if a pool heater could be added, as the water can be quite chilly in July. Overall, we enjoyed our time very much and thank the team for their hospitality!

We visited The Island at Pongwe as the final stop on our honeymoon to Tanzania and Zanzibar and it was the perfect way to conclude an incredible trip. Set on a coral island just off of Zanzibar, the Island Pongwe is run by the amzaing Michela and her team. The island feels like pure rustic luxury and prides itself on being as sustainable as possible - they source food and materials locally. The service was amazing and we were greeted by the team who showed us to the Villa - a room with an incredible vista of the Indian Ocean. We were also kept company, by the islands dog, Ara, who was so sweet. The team were very helpful in organising a Dhow sailing experience with the local fishermen/sailors. At low tide you are able to walk out towards the reef - just watch out for sea urchins! The food was incredible and tasted so fresh. We were also lucky enough to be treated to a performance by local Masai on our final night. 10/10 - would definitely recommend even at least 1 nights stay here - it's so worth it for this little slice of paradise.
