Great value,breakfast could be bettee

Especially when it costs $10, the breakfast could be improved greatly. The location is excellent - central, quiet.

Modern, simple with an excellent location

Posted Sep 8, 2016
Pros: Friendly attentive staff always cheerful
Cons: The size of the bed (my fault for being 6 foot 5 inches tall)
Location: Within walking distance of main railway station and main independence square for tourist attractions
Short 2 night stay for an specific excursion to Chernobyl Site. Staff very welcoming and understanding listening carefully (In English) to individual requirements. Wanting to offer extra support for our visit with taxi advice also location of points of interest. Breakfast typical of local cuisine varied and well stocked.

Nice place, but with minuses

Posted Aug 31, 2014 on Hotels
Most everything I can say about this hotel is positive, with a couple of exceptions - one that is essentially beyond their control, one that is well within it. The place is relatively new, and that means up to date, clean, attractive, etc. The staff was very helpful and cordial at all times, the breakfast was enjoyable and always plentiful (variety was great too). Having said that, the surrounding neighborhood is rather unattractive, more than a little tired, and not worth spending time in. That, fortunately for the hotel, is beyond their own control so they bear no responsibility, but still, a traveler needs to know since they may wish to walk to interesting sites. The other problem is within the control of the hotel - they have no restaurant. They do make their own breakfast and provide that for guests (very satisfying, too), but there is no restaurant that you can fall back on when you either don't feel like going out, or possibly arrive for a late check in and want something to eat or snack on. When one considers that the hotel isn't in an area I consider ideal for walking about (not dangerous at all, but simply not tourist-friendly, and certainly not attractive at all!!!), one can see the value of an in-house restaurant. Since this is a new hotel, one wonders why they didn't have a restaruant as part of their establishment.

Great location, helpful and friendly staff

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: Location, quality of room and amenities, staff
I picked this hotel for its location (convenient both to downtown and to several public transportation lines). The hotel itself is impeccably kept and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great breakfast too.

Decent place but 4 stars ???

Posted Feb 15, 2014 on Hotels
I wouldn't rate this a 4 star hotel. Small reception, only one elevator, rooms are small etc. Having said that, everything is (or looks) new, it's clean, comfortable bed etc. A good hotel with the basic comfort in a quiet area of Kiev.
