Convenient locationPosted Jul 3, 2015 on Hotels
The Lord George is conveniently located in the center of Kildare Town. The accommodations are located in a separate building adjacent to the Silken Inn with free parking. The room I was assigned was very clean and had all of the needed amenities, however; it was very small with literally no room to move around. The bathroom and shower were extremely tight too. TV reception was barely acceptable on most channels. The internet booking rate does not include breakfast but the hotel does offer a discounted price of Euro 6 for a full Irish breakfast vs the menu price of Euro 8.95 in the Silken Inn. Staff was very nice.

CharmePosted Jun 12, 2015 on Hotels
Første gang i Irland, det var en god oplevelse, hotellet samt dem der arbejder der. Byen skal opleves, den er ikke stor men der er masser af charme i de gamle "sten".

Nice hotel in the center of townPosted May 23, 2015
Pros: The location was convenient for us. A short drive to the outlet stores.
Our room no.30 was very large and comfortable. The shower was over the bath but my wife was unable to use it. It would have been better for us to have a separate shower. There was a short walk across a carpark to the dining area. The breakfast was good however the evening meal was a disappointment. It appeared that the hamburgers were forgotten and when asked about them they arrived luke warm and the meat was tough. We commented and had the meal reimbursed.

Lovely stayPosted Apr 14, 2015 on Hotels
Had a lovely time visiting with my brother. A bit hard to find, at the back of a car park behind some clubs. Our room faced the back so we didn't get any club noise. All staff were very friendly, particularly enjoyed my Guinness at the pub after arriving at 1am!!

Cons: Checking in is confusing! You have to check in at the restaurant by flagging down a waitress. But once we figured that out, it was quick and easy.
My only complaint is that the bed was uncomfortable, but then again, every bed during our stay in Ireland was uncomfortable. We loved this hotel! The restaurant affiliated with the hotel is amazing, as is the bar next door. The town is picturesque. The hotel is nicely updated.

Pros: Very helpful friendly staff, very accommodating to family
Cons: Exchange Foam Mattress for Sprung (personal opinion)
Location: Close to Punchestown (20mins drive Saturday morning)
All room requests were met, nice stay. negative of room location: family room was located up a flight of stairs, not great when travelling with baby - might be issue with some people positive of room location : quiet location - no external street noise experienced

Kildare Village ExperiencePosted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: I always love the place, the staff and the clean room and food and casual.
Location: Kildare village but need to sort out parking in kildare village , dangerous on reduction weekends, should not be allowed if don't have staff to cope
The Lord Edward is always very welcoming and the room is very clean and the food is very good, I stay over on a shopping trip to kildare village , but unfortunately last weekend I did not know there was a 20% off days in Kildare Village , a nightmare and the parking chaotic and dangerous so didn't shop at all just when I was eventually allowed to get out of the place without been send around x3 by the stewards , I just drove off and glad to see the back of the shopping outlet.
