We went to Salado for a last-minute getaway to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The Inn on the Creek has a small but very attentive staff. Each B&B room is unique, quaint and comfortable. The inn sits on a spring-fed creek so it was nice to just sit on the porch or by the creek and listen to the water. The room we chose (Stewart) did not have adequate sink counter space but you can choose other rooms that do. Other than that it was cozy. The breakfast was very good and the parlor had a nice area to relax. I would certainly stay here again. We were there Sun-Tues so not many guests. Also, in town, some of the shops weren't open but it also wasn't very crowded. All of them are open on the weekends.
