A Two Night Stay in Lawton

Posted Apr 10, 2017 on Hotels
I was a little surprised by the fact that we had no blow dryer or coffee pot in the room. It was a good experience over all. The rooms were clean. The Host was very pleasant and helpful. You will have to put the trash outside your room if you are staying more than one night. They do not enter your room if you stay longer unless you ask for something. The stay was enjoyable. I especially like that it was quiet each night. We all slept well. On frustrating point is that we reserved a room with two beds and got only one double and one hide-a-bed. We checked in late and forgot to note that in the reservation. It worked out well, though and as I stated above, It was an enjoyable stay.

Adequate/Budget Friendly

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Good location, good price, comfortable beds, newness of building.
Cons: Work on items listed from my experience.
This motel apparently was recently constructed. I have to say the newness of it makes the place decent, but the quality, or lack of is apparent. I believe this lack of quality will cause the condition of the Roomy Inn to deteriorate rapidly, but in its current state, it is passable. It is substantially cheaper to stay at the Roomy Inn than most of the other motels in town. Here are some of the things I noticed. 1. There is no elevator (Motel only has two floors anyway, but FYI). 2. Decorations such as pictures are already starting to deteriorate. The staff does not have enough pride to straighten very crooked picture frames and such. 4. Downstairs bathroom had a toilet, sink, and ADA compliant rails, however, it did not have paper towels or paper towel dispenser. The toilet paper roll was located on the sink because there was also no toilet paper holder on the wall. 4. Our room was already damaged (full length mirror looked like it had been kicked & broken, towel bar fell off the wall). 5. Motel uses old fashioned keys instead of key cards. Also, although they open the side doors during the day to air the place out, during the evenings and nights, the only entrance available to guests is the front door.

Need to loose the key and update entry to card type. Sheets were dirty and the TV's look like they were mounted by an amateur fix person. Bed was ok and the room was big.
