I'm sorry that you feel that way. The staff was just trying to inform you that the property couldn't refund your stay. The property was not notify neither Expedia support. You can call Expedia support to see if they can help you with this matter, you can explain your situation with them. Unfortunately when a reservation is done through a third party meaning Expedia is a prepaid made with them directly and the property is not allow to make any changes to that reservation. Also both parties have a 24 hour cancellation rule. Hope this explains what he staff was trying to inform you. You have a wonderful day.

Hotel is very nice, however, we arrived and they did not have a functioning elevator for the weekend. I am 68 years old and unable to do three flights all day, esp with luggage! Also when I booked (in Mar) they assured me that the swimming pool would be available that weekend. The pool was closed for the year due to rennovations. If I would have been notified this would have been better. I had to change hotels the next day due to stairs, and they did not charge me cancellation fees. If elevator and pool were working, hotel would have been very very nice. It was clean.

First off, the elevator was broken. They compensated that with no $100 pet fee. That’s great but f them stairs, who doesn’t put stairs in the middle of the hotel either. It was either one side or the other to get up in an L shaped building . One sides key card thing didn’t even work so twice the effort if someone kicked the rock out. No parking for uhaul with trailers. They had remodeling construction going on so property was littered with dumpster and connexes. With not stay again and don’t recommend

After driving 12 hours we got there to check in and was told that not only was the elevator out of service but we were being placed on the 3rd floor and they were doing remodeling work which began early morning about 7am. Mattress had a huge blood stain on it, mold in the bathroom, and had a weird stink to it. I booked this room because the last Townplace Suites we stayed in the night before was the best room I have ever stayed in but this was hands down the worst stay I've ever had. They need to tell the apps like Expedia and Hotels.com admit the elevator being broken and reviewing going on so people can make INFORMED decisions on wether it not to stay there. Biggest waste of $180 ever, the motel 6 would have been better.

The hotel is undergoing some refurbishment, so there is some pallets around and some noise duing the day. Its quiet at night so nothing to worry about. The rooms are large, have full kitchens with stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, pleanty of pots, pans and dishware. Iron and ironing board. The closet is huge for a hotel room. Shower is hot with good pressure, beds were good, one side was a little worn. Free breakfast was great, eggs, meats, breads, fruits, coffee and muffins. You can even make your own Belgium waffles. Staff is freindly and there is an HEB plus within walking distance, so you can stock up on foods if you're in town long. It was cold, but they have a pool, nice little workout facility, washing machines and dryers you can use too.

I stayed for 3 nights and it was an excellent stay. The room was clean, nice and quiet, bathroom was clean as well. My one complaint was the pool wasn’t maintained very well. It had a lot of bugs in it. Other than that, it was a great stay and I would stay again if I was in the area.

When we arrived in the room, the room smelled awful. It smelled like cigarettes and chemicals. We talked to the front desk and they informed us that they could wipe down the room, but that was the only option. They were broke and could not move us to another room. They said they would try and make it right, but it came down to nothing more than a sorry. We open the windows, but it did not help at all. The room was also pretty beat up and worn out. Will not stay at Townplace Suites again.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. We are not smoking hotel and we do deep clean and disinfect each room and we use our ionizer machine. We inspect the rooms before we rent them and there was not smell of cigarettes'. My front desk tried to assist as much as he could and tried to refresh the room. But I apologize you felt that way. We will start renovation in March we are aware we need to upgrade our hotel. You have a great day.
