Pros: room comfort
Cons: breakfast and halls
In fairness, my room was clean and comfortable. TV too small with poor picture quality. Pool was nice. Hallways were dark, uneven, floors insecure, uneven steps in which I stumbled. But worse of all was the breakfast. Advertised as full, it was the worst continental I've ever had. Undrinkable instant coffee, plain oatmeal and not even brown sugar to make it palatable. I didn't even bother going the second morning. Place had good potential but needs a lot of improvement.

Country Squire Inn - Gananoque

Posted Nov 4, 2015
Pros: The restaurant attached was nice and the food was good. Bar & Grill type of atmosphere.
Cons: The hotel needs to be updated and staff need to be congenial to their guests. Pay attention to detail as it matters.
Location: 1000 Islands Boat Cruise, quaint town, Kingston close by Fort Henry, Museums, Hiking Trails, beautiful scenery
Disappointed upon check-in. Hotel is tired and outdated. Also advised that Full Breakfast was not included as I had thought, albeit sign out front states Full Breakfast with stay. Expedia did give me a $25Cdn Voucher in regards to this. The room was satisfactory, comfortable although the bed sheets on one bed were stained. The pool is going to be renovated - good thing as it was cold. The hot tub was scummy and I wouldn't use it. The Health Room looked like it was an afterthought. The TV didn't work and everything was crammed in there. The sign said to wipe equipment down after use - there were no wipes - no nothing. I found the staff lazy and not very helpful - everything was an effort for them and any questions we had it seemed like we were bothering them. Unfortunately this was not a good experience for us and will definitely not be back and would not recommend this hotel to stay at - although Gananoque is beautiful.

Motel correct

Séjour d'une nuit en Juillet 2015. Ensemble correct sans plus. Petit déjeuner très moyen. Motel assez vieillot mais suffisant pour un court séjour.

Good hotel, close to attractions

Posted Oct 7, 2015
Pros: Good beds, nice breakfast.
Cons: Soundproofing between rooms
Location: OLG casino, 1000 Islands boat cruise, observation tower in area
Very comfortable beds. Good breakfast included in cost. Had indoor pool and hot tub. Minor disturbance first morning with barking dog in next room. Reported the noise to the front desk and the situation was looked after. The same people were there for a second night as were we. The second morning the dog was not a problem. The front desk staff asked that the dog not be left unattended in the room like it was on the first morning. Overall the hotel was very good, but I would ask to be in a room away from the nearest room with a pet.

Had a spot on out bed and plastic cuttlery for breakfast which is not appropriate for this price.

Hotel with porch.

Posted Sep 30, 2015
Pros: Staff was great and the screened-in porch attached to the room was a nice touch.
Cons: The outside of the hotel needs a good paint job. It sure gives a first bad impression. There was a musky scent when entering the hotel room.
Location: Gananoque is small, so you are close to everything. Highway 401 is close by, the Gananoque casino, restaurants.
It was okay, but I would not return. There is just something about the place that did not make me feel 'at home'.

Hotel in Gananoque für Besuch 1000 Islands

Posted Sep 22, 2015

Pros: Location; fairly close to everything.
Cons: Better lighting
Location: Not Applicable.
Fine. Our room was near the front of the hotel. would have preferred a bit further away from the traffic.

Pros: Hot tub.
Cons: Staff training.
Disappointing! Cold breakfast, Wi-fi didn't work, coffee machine had a vital part missing and the T.V. remote was broke. Previous stay was not good but I though they would smarten up;. Apparently not.
