Great location and easy to walk around downtown!

Pros: Proximity to downtown and harbour. Great restaurants in the area. Underground parking is convenient.
Cons: Would be nice to have a bathroom fan and a mini fridge for water and leftovers.
Location: Visit the harbour, market in the city hall square, great restaurants and shops. Drive to Fort Henry and the Kingston Penitentiary.
Lobby cookies and coffee were a nice touch. Pool and spa was nice. Underground public parking was $16/day, not bad and with in/out privileges. Room was spacious enough, but it would've been nice to have a bathroom fan and a mini fridge.

Great location and a nice place to stay

Rooms are what you want to expect, clean bathroom, nice clean looking beds, big drawers for the kids to put their stuff in. No refrigerator in the double queen room. Kind of odd and was something that would have come in handy as we expected there would be one as most places usually do have one, especially in a room where a family would stay. The pool was under used which was nice and meant we had lots of quality time in the pool alone. It is a small pool but was perfect for a young family. Cleaning lady was beyond wonderful and nice and when we had to switch out feather pillows because we found out our 4 year old son IS allergic to feathers she left 4 synthetic pillows in a bag outside our door (my husband was still sleeping) and just told us to switch out the feather ones and leave them outside for her to pick up. She was wonderful and very helpful. The lobby was also nice to sit and relax in too.

Missing Amenities

Pros: Clean bathroom.
Cons: More information regarding parking options and instructions on how to access the parking garage would be really helpful.
Location: Lots of restaurants and beautiful waterfront views.
We arrived late and very tired after being on the road all day. In fact, the hotel staff made a comment about how sleepy we looked and promised to "go quick" while checking us in. Unfortunately, this meant a lot of info was skipped over. We asked about parking and were told we could "find a spot on the street" or pay $16 for the parking structure. We opted for the parking structure since we had no idea what street she meant, but we had to return to the front desk twice more to ask where the entrance of the structure was located and how to get in (since the entrance had a metal gate and appeared closed for the evening). The room and bathroom were clean and spacious, but I was disappointed there were no outlets near the bed to charge my phone and set an alarm. We stayed in 5 different hotels over the course of our trip and this was the only one that did not have outlets bedside. Additionally, the ice machine on our floor was broken, so getting ice for the evening became quite a journey. Finally, we chose this hotel for its proximity to the waterfront and supposedly wonderful views, but we were given a view of the roof (perhaps because of our late arrival -- disappointing either way).

Good location, no air conditioning

Pros: Close proximity to downtown and parks.
Cons: Rooms need updating, bathrooms need fixing, air conditioning needs to be fixed.
Location: Right downtown, near city hall, Confederation Park and Market Square. Location is great.
We've stayed at the Four Points a few times and each time we go we're a bit more disappointed than the last time. There are definitely better options downtown. However, the location is great. The room was clean but dated. The bathroom needs the grout replaced in the shower and to be re-caulked. The worst part was the lack of air conditioning. The hotel said that they would address it but they never did. Our room was damp from the humidity and the weather while we were there was close to 100% humidity and about 25 degrees celsius. We got a very good deal on the hotel, or else we wouldn't have stayed there. After this experience, I likely wouldn't go back, especially in the summer. The winter may be fine if you need a place to stay downtown and can get a deal.

Over-Night get away

The trip was an overnight stay in Downtown Kingston, something always talked about and never done. The location was great for our plan, the hotel was a disappointment.

The location is great

Pros: The location
Cons: Take care of the bleach/disinfectant smell in rooms.
Location: Walking distance to all the Kingston attractions.
It was our second stay in this hotel and everything was fine. We had no problems checking in and they were very nice to us. When we got to our room there was a strong bleachy smell that was a bit nauseating. We had to open the window to vent out the smell. Unfortunately they had a planned water shut off for the next day starting at 8:30 AM. Because of this, we had to wake up earlier than planned so that we could use the bathroom and shower. After we came back from breakfast we couldn't use the bathroom or brush our teeth since the water had been shut off. This was unfortunate.

In desk staff was friendly. With all windows closed and on the 4th floor you could hear vehicular traffic. Did not eat in the hotel but checked out the menu. Found it to be pricey. The room was dirty,potato chips on the rug bathroom mirror not cleaned properly.
