Pleasant, with no surprises

Pros: clean, neat, decent staff.
Cons: Better breakfast offerings.
Location: Right off I87 in Kingston, NY. Not a destination location.
Booked this hotel at the last minute. Was happy, everything was exactly as advertised, with all clean, neat. Book looked good, though did not use it. They advertise breakfast, which is three choices at the connected restaurant.

water issues

First room had no hot water. Tub wouldn't drain. Changed rooms. This room had hot water after about 10 minutes of running it. Tub did drain.

Location: great town. first time there. our son just moved there so we will be back.
we stayed in room 115. everything was fine. the reviews I read were way off. I feel bad for the hotel. it was the best hotel I stayed in for my travel to NYC and back. the breakfast was terrific made to order and hot. the room was very clean. the checkin and checkout was simple and everyone was courteous. to think I almost didn't end up coming due to reviews but I had the non refundable. cmon people lets get it right. stay in same room and help them out. best free breakfast I ever had! it was exactly what I would have ordered if I went out to breakfast.

Awful, Awful, Awful!

Room was clean, that was about it. The pillows were sparse, and undersized for the king sized bed, so I called the front desk and asked for 4 pillows. When they showed up, they non-ceremoniously handed me two pillows, relating that that's all they could find, and two wrinkled pillowcases that I had to put on myself....eeeew. We were on the road all day, so we decided to eat in at Rudigan's steakhouse. What a mistake! A $24 steak offered powdered mashed potatoes with no vegetable! Salad bar was untidy and only showing the dregs of their offerings, as if they didn't want to incur any waste. One man asked for the bread to be replaced, and...he's still there waiting for it. You get 'tickets' for the continental breakfast, which to me is usually milk, juice, tea, coffee, with a selection of hot items and danishes or toast, but no meat. Here, the continental breakfast was awful...want juice? That's extra. The pancakes had to be cut with a knife! Wow! Okay, enough said about that, let's move on to the front desk. The front desk was so indifferent, they were silent when I said hello, handed them my key and checked out! No confirmation that everything is in order, no thank you for coming, I truly thought I was invisible for the moment. But the 'friend' that was hanging out in the lobby talking to her certainly wasn't. Please, do yourself a favor and pass this place by.

The AC was an issue. It really did its own thing. Once on it would turn off and then we just had the fan. Thanks

very loud people in next room "free breakfast" not available because chef was late coming to work
