"Very clean, modern and comfortable house. Very warm, light and spacious. Everything you need is provided including a lovely welcome basket of local produce with beer and wine. The house is a short walk from the town and equidistant from Kirkwall harbour and Scapa Beach, with both distilleries in walking distance. Sarah was available to answer any questions without being intrusive. We loved every minute of our stay, from the fabulous local food and drink to Neolithic sites, nature reserves and refreshing walks. We’ll be back!"

"Room was perfect. View from the room looking over the harbour. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing and the portions were large. No skimping on anything. "Great visit to Kirkwall! The Albert hotel was fantastic! It is an older property decorated very nicely! Our room was upgraded to a larger room because there were 2of us! The meal we had in the restaurant was the best we had in our visit to the Orkney’s. The staff was so accommodating and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone headed to the Orkney Islands"

"Room 3 has magnificent working harbour & scenery views. The room was large and warm with super comfy, huge bed and a powerful shower. Beverage making facility and hairdryer. It was not fashionable decorated, there was no spa etc. It was perfect for people wanting to explore the beauty of Orkney, which we surely did 😉 "
