Perfect hotel experience!

The first thing one notices when enetering the lobby is that the place is immaculately clean. The same is true for the rooms. Front desk staff is friendly and outgoing, knowledgeable and able to provide a great experience. Ours was with Emilee. Pool area is huge and has both a hot tub and sauna to compliment the pool. Hotel is walking distance to grocery and drug stores as well as Tim Horton's. If we're ever staying in the Cambridge/KW area again, this'll be our spot!

Holiday inn Cambridge by the 401

When we opened the door to the second floor we were over whelmed by the smell of marijuana. The room had no fridge or microwave. We went to the restaurant for breakfast, while my wife and two small children sat at a table I put our luggage in the car, upon returning, my wife was in the lobby, ready to leave because she waited ten minutes for a waitress to come and take her order. At 7am there should be more staff in the restaurant, we can't afford to sit idly waiting, the children have school and we both had to go to work.

Unfortunately our rooms to not come equipped with fridges and microwaves but they are available based on request at check in. We are working on equipping all our rooms with mini fridges. As for the smell I do apologize as we are a non smoking hotel, and am sorry we were not able to meet that standard for you. Hotel obviously needed an update. It had all of the basics - comfortable beds, solid cable package, logical layout, shower's water pressure was good, great parking, ice machines handy, quiet overall and an excellent location. Front office staff were friendly and efficient. It really only lacked a good cleaning - woodwork in the room, bathroom smelled slightly mouldy and the carpet in the hallway was grungy.

Your Avg Holiday Inn

Hotel for the price you cant go wrong. Good for a one nighter on business. Staff friendly. It's your holiday Inn. I'd go back when passing through Cambridge in the price is right.

Decent price outdated hotel

The stay was good. Room was comfy but older hotel needs a few upgrades. Tub was leaky. Room was a bit noisy at times. Pool was nice and clean. Location is convenient

Every light in room was unplugged Clock had not been set ahead to Daily Light Savings Night Stand light did not work Shower head fell apart - tried putting back together, gave up Coffee maker - makes on half a cup Previous Guest - looks like shaved beard, and did not clean up, neither did the staff A mint was on the floor outside of my room upon check in - no biggy - but the fact that four cleaning staff went by the mint and did not pick it up - I am sure if it was a $5 bill they would have picked it up TV in fitness room - Scheduled Service on the screen - which basically means it does not work - has anyone ever taken a flat screen in for scheduled service? Receptionist was apologetic - indicated the facility is scheduled for a complete makeover - well great - but did not improve my stay Restaurant - very good - would be busier is associated with another hotel This is my first ever review, and I am on the road 50-50% of the year. Best of luck on the makeover

Pool made it worthwhile

Pool was great, and the reason we chose the hotel Overall, seemed old, dated. Beds were not very comfortable. Temperature control was manual and was difficult to manage a comfortable temperature. Heat was off when we arrived, and room was very cold. By bed time, too hot and made it difficult to sleep.

Hotel utilized during sporting event.

Hotel a little dated with regards to decor however hotel employees made up for it! Very welcoming at front desk and Tiffany was a great help when a power cord was left behind and she was able to track it down. Very accommodating to teams with regards to pool use and accessing rooms for team gatherings.

Dirty and dated

I generally know that I can trust Holiday Inn to be a good choice. Not the case here. The room (and halls) smelled of smoke and what I assume was urine. The toilet didn't work. The tub wouldn't drain. And the whole place looked like it's last update was when it was built in the 70's. I would recommend any othe hotel in the area over this one.
