Staff remembered me by name from my previous stay. Everybody is super friendly. I love the water views from the rooms and I like the buffet style breakfast.

The staff goes above & beyond

Posted Nov 5, 2016
Location: I didnt really go out much...i was resting.
I really want to acknowledge Kelley & Shannon. On, my way to check in I got completely lost. Im not from this area. Kelley who was working the front desk called me a couple times to try and help me find my way, he stayed on the phone with me and guided me in. Thats what customer service is about. And, Shannon Thank you for being the people person that you are. The Oyster Bay Inn is lucky to have these two representing there establishment.

Quiet, clean, beautiful scenery

Posted Oct 28, 2016
Pros: Rooms were clean and comfortable. Views were awesome.
Cons: Hotel decor is dated
Location: Only stayed one night to visit a friend. Did not have time to explore area.
Older hotel but the rooms were clean and comfortable. The views from the sleeping room, as well as from the breakfast room were fantastic. Great value for the money!!!

you get what pay for

Posted Sep 27, 2016
Pros: Price! Microwave available to reheat the prepared scrambled eggs.
Cons: remodel
Location: great location: fairly close to the hospital
Old, run-down hotel: very noisy, lumpy beds, stained bathroom fixtures; breakfast was cold scrambled eggs without potatoes.

from bad to great

Posted Sep 17, 2016
Pros: How they compensated for a bad first night
Cons: Fix the Chalet's foundation before it slides into Oyster Bay!!!
Location: Gorgeous waterfront location
My first night's stay was a nightmare. There was some problem with the water heater/pipes and all night there was this clunking/croaking sound every 20 seconds or so. When I sleepily told management about it the next morning as I checked out, they felt terrible about it and gave me a gift certificate for a complimentary one-night stay. I ended up using it that night and they upgraded me to the waterfront chalet/cottage! I thought that was really great. I finally got a solid night's sleep in the loft and enjoyed all the space. (Note: the chalet seriously needs foundation repair...the living room leans toward the waterfront. It's a bit disorienting).

Older hotel over looking the bay!

Posted Sep 12, 2016
Location: We enjoyed it close location to the Wildcat state park and magnificent woody area.
This hotel is older, the rooms are clean and the free breakfast was wonderful! It is close to a county park and a hiking trail. The office staff women was friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed Tony's Pizzeria a restaurant that over look the Bay just down the street from the hotel.

Hotel is very dated but it has a beautiful view

Posted Sep 11, 2016
Hotel is quite old, there's a bit of a smell when you first walk in to the lobby but it doesn't carry through out the hotel. Hotel is clean just very dated, maid forgot our towels one day which was inconvenient because I had to go to the front desk to pick it up. Free breakfast was not bad and the view is breathtaking! If your just looking for a place to shower and sleep with no frills and at a good price, then I would reccomend Oyster Bay Inn

We appreciate you taking the time to let us know how we are doing - and for the beautiful photo!!! I am sorry to hear that your towels were overlooked - but am glad that we were able to get you some at the front desk! As far as the lobby goes, you are correct that the hotel is quite old; that is why we are giving it a face lift!! We are really excited about the upcoming renovations to our main floor/lobby area! We hope you come back to see the changes we are making!!!
