Pros: Location. There are limited options if you are doing business in Oak Ridge. This is one of them.
Cons: Almost everything. Start with making the t.v. work. That's pretty basic stuff.
Location: There isn't much to do in Oak Ridge, and all the lodging locations are within two minutes of each other.
In the last five years I have probably been to Oak Ridge a dozen times. There are a number of hotels, all of the same type -- Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn, Doubletree, Quality Inn...I stay where I can get the Federal per diem rate, and sometimes I have choice and sometimes I don't. I have stayed at all of the above mentioned at one time or another -- this is at least my third time at the Comfort Inn. And honestly, this is worse than the others. Its older, and just a little more run down. Let me run through the issues: the t.v. was cable, but half the stations did't come in, and those that did were so fuzzy it was like a throwback to UHF stations of the mid 60s; wifi was o.k., but occasionally slow; hotel staff were marginal at best (and you usually had to ring a bell to get them); in the little fitness facility one of the two cardio machines was broken... its a no-smoking hotel, but my room smelled like an old smoking parlor (not like someone had just smoked in it, but that someone had smoked in it for years and years, if not necessarily recently). The bathrooms were functional, but really small (you almost have to stand on the toilet to open the door). They have a free breakfast, but I never tried it.

Nice hotel

Pros: Everything
Cons: Better wifi coverage in room
Location: Dollywood theme park was 1hr away.
We stayed 2 nights while visiting Dollywood. The hotel was very good. Comfy beds and really clean. Breakfast was very good and located right next to a Walmart was really handy. Only complaint was the wifi in our room kept dropping out. Had to use it in reception foyer where the reception was really good.

The front desk attendant was clearly over worked and still maintained a nice, sweet attitude. The pool is a little small and the breakfast choices were great.

Poor management, lack of customer service. Rooms outdated and cleaning not up to par even with special request.

While the stay was comfortable, the strength of the WiFi signal at the rooms which are far from the lobby is very bad. However, they were very helpful in finding me a new room nearer to the elevators.

Very Disappointed - Would Never Stay Here Again

Pros: Great Location, overall friendly staff. However, we were not pleased with their nonchalant response about our room not being cleaned.
Cons: There was a lack of attention to detail and inability to handle the numbers staying at the hotel. So many things fell through the cracks.
Location: Within walking distance are lots of restaurants, Walmart, and American Museum of Energy and Science. Despite this, we would not stay here again.
We stayed here 4 nights - never again! Our room did not get cleaned the 2nd day. We returned to the hotel at 5 PM to a dirty room. We reported this to the front desk and they seemed nonchalant about it, saying they would get to it the next day. They blamed it on the "new girls who didn't always clean" and "being swamped." Not satisfied with this response, we tracked down one of the maids (Patricia) who was shocked to hear that our room had not been cleaned. She came up and cleaned our room around 6 PM. At check-in we were told that there would be a "Managers Reception" on Tues. and Wed. nights between 5:30 and 7:00 pm. Both nights were cancelled without notifying anyone. We went on Tues. night to find no one there. One of the maids told us it had been cancelled due to them being "swamped." Same thing happened on Wed. night. The breakfast area was dirty - spilled food and cereal on the counters and floor. The tables in the eating area were filthy. No one was cleaning tables in the eating area. We cleaned our own table before using it. We went to breakfast an hour before it closed, however many of the foods were gone and were not replenished (sausages, muffins, etc.). The hotel advertised having coffee 24 hours a day, but they did not have coffee 24 hours a day. Half of the equipment in the Fitness Center had signs "Out of Order." Only 2 machines were functioning. From our room, the Internet was extremely slow or nonfunctioning. It sometimes worked in the lobby.
