Nice hotel, except many amenities missing.

Pros: The size of the suites were big and roomy.
Cons: see comments made in experience
Location: Poor service at local McDonalds.
We have used Country Inn and Suites before and knew that they were a good hotel chain. I picked this hotel specifically, because it had an indoor pool and my kids live to swim. Well, we got there and the pool was closed--the staff had apparently not maintained the proper levels of chlorine; therefore the pool was unavailable. When we got to our room, there were no Kleenexes, one half of a role of toilet paper and two complete sets of towels for the six of us. I tried to get ice later in the evening--the ice machine was out of order. In the morning, the juice machine was out of order and the eggs and sausage were not cooked. We left and got a breakfast elsewhere. In addition, the breakfast server acted as though we were all a big inconvenience to her. In the future, we will look elsewhere

On the decline.

Have stayed here several times. Latest stay revealed a definite downward trend in the cleanliness, care/maintenance, and running of the location. For example: No washcloths in room. Very poor breakfast service. Trash cans at entrance overflowing like a poorly run Hardees. We will probably give it a year or two before we try it again.

Nice hotel

Cons: Check in process was slow.
Check in was slow. Only one desk clerk working even though hotel almost fully booked. Room was comfortable and clean. I disliked the feather pillows. Breakfast was very good. This was a just a short overnight stay for us. Close to interstate but very quiet.

Great Hotel and Great Service

When we got to the hotel about an hour early, they went on and gave us a room, they upgraded our room to a suite at no additional cost. What a great way to start out. They were very helpful on directions to other places. Breakfast had scrambled eggs, chicken, cereal, fruit, and waffles. For the price I paid it was the BEST place I have ever stayed.

Not worth the price

The carpet had stains and it had a bad odor. Under both mattresses there was chips, popcorn and confetti, It wasnt clean at all. Old furniture, old carpets, and price for hotel was not worth. Outside look of the hotel looks good, and staff is friendly, but it cannot make up for the cons.

First room smelled like a gallon of pinesol

Got moved to a suite. It smelled musty. Oil marks on the sheets. Got enrolled with the Carlson Rewards Club with promises of low rates and lots of free upgrades. When I called about a room in the next city we were going to, the quoted me $149 even though I was a rewards member. I said it's only $112 on the website. I can stay anywhere on that block for $60! He wasn't giving any discounts or upgrades. And the conditions were questionable by the looks of the one in Clinton, tn.
