One of my favorite quotes about excellence is from Colin Powell:
"If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop the habit in little matters. Excellence is not an exception; it is a prevailing attitude."
This quote seems to be the motto for the staff at this property.
This Econo Lodge is situated at a convenient location for when my wife and I (and our 3 kids) visit our parents. We have stayed here at least five times, although the last visit was before COVID. The management and staff are committed to excellence in all things, big and small; moreover, this has been the "prevailing attitude" for at least six years. Frankly, the consistency is impressive.
On our most recent visit (1/2/2024), I observed that the carpets, beds, and furniture had been replaced in our "usual" room. The management re-invests profits back into the property, unlike many other hotels in this class. The new beds were pretty comfy, and the updated look was a nice upgrade.
The staff is extremely polite and accommodating, and the cleanliness is top-notch. The manager helps with breakfast and ensures that everything is fresh and topped off. Everyone really takes pride in their work; again, the commitment to excellence makes all the difference.
This is still an Econo Lodge; don't come here expecting a day spa or four-star restaurant. But if you want to observe a masterfully run organization that seizes each opportunity for excellence, you should visit.
