Terrible parking, understaffed, but adequate rooms

The first thing you'll notice about the Hilton is how close it is to the airport. You can walk there from baggage claim in under 5 minutes. That's great. If you have a car (and you're going to have a car, because you're in Knoxville), however, you'll have a LONGER walk from where you park to your room than the walk from the airport. A lot longer. And it's outdoor, non-covered parking that's down a hill, with steps (sorry roller bags and disabled peeps) to get to the hotel. And even then, you'll enter the hotel at the furthest point from the guest elevators. It's really inconvenient, and unless you're in town for a single day or don't have a car, you should probably avoid the hotel for that reason. There are a ton of average hotels across Alcoa highway, which has its own issues, but non of them are inconvenience like you'll experience here.
Upon check-in, I had to wait 35 minutes in a line of just a few people, because there was only one desk attendant. I can't think of any other hotel anywhere that I've had a wait like that. Totally ridiculous and it could have been avoided.
