Good Location, but hotel has issues...

We booked the hotel through Expedia a couple months in advance, knowing it would be a big travel weekend. Check-in was good, agent was nice, and lobby area appeared to be clean. It did have a somewhat 'clinic' feeling. Not very warm and welcoming. The halls of the hotel had low ceilings and bad lighting - kind of like being in a scary movie. The biggest disappointment... The room was very musty, and when we went to turn on the AC, it did not work. I called the Front Desk several times, but got no answer, so I finally went down. The agent came back up to the room with me and fiddled a bit with the the thermostat and knobs...but still nothing. There were no other rooms available, so we were stuck in a hot, musty room for the night. The agent was able to find us a fan, which did help a bit. And, we were then told there was nothing they could do as far as a discount or credit, b/c we ordered through Expedia. I don't think that is fair...and will now make me think twice before booking through Expedia vs the hotel directly.

Overnight visit

Pros: The breakfast.
Cons: Having a pool that you can use.
Location: Had a meeting in Seymour.
Clean room, however, it had a "fishy" smell about it. Told the front desk people. Pool was so chlorinated and cloudy that we couldn't enjoy it with the children. Made them stay on the steps. Employees were awesome and their breakfast is GREAT!

Just there for one night. The hotel staff was great except for the older night staff person who didn't seem to want to let us in even though we showed our room key. Decor of room was very cute.

Hotel great for pet owners

I know this hotel I'd being renovated but the first room was unexceptable. No air and it smelled. They graciously put us in a much nicer room and it did not smell
