A good night at Mere Court

Posted Feb 9, 2017 on Hotels
The receptionist was first class, both booking in and out. Room was spacious, clean and tidy. The hotel was quiet, and a good night's sleep was had. Restaurant service was okay, but not as attentive as previously experienced. Food was excellent, and wines were varied and reasonably priced.

Not up to usual high standards

Posted Jan 30, 2017 on Hotels
Overall a good stay, however, the restaurant service was well below usual standards. Service poor, for example wine only received when over half way through the main course. The usual bread roll wasn't offered, so I had to ask at reception!

Pros: The room
Cons: As bove.
Excellent hotel. The restaurant (pretentious) & the breakfast (insufficient variety) could be improved.

Pleasant Country Hotel

Posted Nov 5, 2014
Pros: Affordable, comfortable, friendly, convenient.
Cons: The eggs benedict at breakfast not to my liking.
Location: Tatton Park and its various events. Close to airport.
Regular guest for business meetings, and always a warm and friendly welcome. Free wifi, water in room, good restaurant although avoid the eggs benedict at breakfast!

Excellent location close to Manchester.

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: Location close to Manchester and Dunham Massey.
Cons: Jacuzzi didn't work in bedroom!
Location: Dunham Massey (National Trust) with special WW1 exhibition
Despite the fact that there was a wedding party in the hotel (we were warned) our room was quiet and the staff were very friendly, helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. Food excellent in restaurant.

Lovely place, great food

Posted Mar 7, 2013
Pros: Food
Cons: Wifi problems
Location: OK. You all have maps, judge for yourselves!
Lovely hotel, fantastic food. Only downers were the Wifi in the evening and the hot water in the morning, which were both inconsistent. I was up in the very top room, so perhaps it was that. Oh, and no proper ale in the bar. Still left happy, which shows how good the rest was.
