"Amazing Hotel on Phi Phi"
If you want a great place to stay on Phi Phi Island, this is the hotel for you. Reasonable rates, nice bungalows, on an essentially private beach, activities available, a quick longboat ride to Tonsai (main area), but in a quiet area with very few tourists comparatively.
This was a wonderful hotel, no complaints at all as the food, room, activities and staff were all excellent. The only downside is needing to boat over to the main area but really, that is packed with 20 somethings looking to party and lots of shops. If you want a much more relaxing vacation, go to Holiday Inn or one of the other small places nearby.
Me and my girlfriend stayed 4 nights and it was wonderful, we enjoyed swimming in the pools and oceans, snorkeling, kayaking, touring other islands, and eating great food.
We took a longboat from beside the Holiday Inn, the boatman's name is Ian, and he was great. Showed us the Maya Beach and Phi Phi Lei island, brought us to nice places to snorkel, and accommodated us when we wanted to go to Tonsai for the View Point lookout and some dinner (he joined us for dinner). Always smiling, a great guide and person, and English is quite good. He is located just next to holiday inn near the restaurants, added picture to identify him. The prices for him vs say a hotel boat are comparable (he is slightly cheaper).
All in all, a great vacation and worth every penny.
