Dated hotel with great views and breakfastPosted May 12, 2017 on Hotels
The hotel is almost attached to Shin-Kobe station, which is very handy and the herb garden ropeway is right next door which was amazing; but the hotel itself was dated, the hallways seemed to have no air conditioning and were stuffy, the non smoking rooms smelt of stale cigarette smoke, and the elevators were so slow there was a 10 minute lineup (no exaggeration) to get downstairs for breakfast. The breakfast itself whilst quite expensive, was very very good, and the staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful; and the view from the room was incredible. Overall, as much good as there was bad, but I probably wouldnt stay again unless the rates dropped, or the hotel was renovated.

Super convenientPosted Apr 17, 2017
Loved easy access to hotel from station. Great price, large room. Close to ropeway to Mt Maya but not so easy to find other things in the area. I used this stop as a no stress point to do rail pass day trips into Osaka and Kyoto. Concierge was most helpful in getting info on a confusing shop's website. Had buffet one night. Some nice choices.

very good location by the Shin-Kobe StationPosted Apr 14, 2017
Pros: Location next to Shinkansen Train Station
Cons: Room need to be refurbished.
Location: Right by Shinkansen Shin-Kobe train station. Food and convenience store in the station.
Excellent location, next to Shin-Kobe Train Station. Huge hotel, breakfast was OK, not so many varieties. Room quite roomy with 2 twin beds and a sofa bed for 3 adults. Somewhat outdated room ,small bathroom. Sink outside bathroom which was nice.

1 Block walk to Shin-KobePosted Apr 9, 2017
This is in suburbs of Kobe, Although very close to Shinkansen, a cab or subway is needed to get downtown. The rooms are huge by Japan standards, but very few amenities - No iron, ice, and pool/jacuzzi is inaccessible to older/tired guests (two flights of stairs each way and no elevator). Fabulous breakfast buffet.

Close to station, but too hot.Posted Mar 30, 2017
Pros: Close to station
Cons: AC in room
We went on nice spring day in late march, the hotel has one side facing sun all day, and the room was stifling hot. We could not fix ourselves as windows weren't the kind you could open, and hallways were hot too. We complained and they said 'we don't turn on the AC in the winter, and will look to see if we have a fan'. Will never stay there again.

Hotel room was very good with comfortable bed. Toilets in public area within the hotel are old and in needs of upgrade. Employees were very nice. Altough foods are excellent some restaurants interiors are old.
