The longer I stayed, the others were rather helpfu
At first the acceptance clerks were rather cold and unwilling to help But other staff Especially the Housekeepers were Bery helpful

Great place to stay for family or personal. Quiet, clean, comfortable, & eco friendly. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Real close to station, a Family Mart, & 7-Eleven. Easy walking distance to shops & restaurants. Easy check in & check out. If I came back, I would stay at this hotel again.

Top notch hotel and extremely clean
The hotel allows for very late check in (until 5 am), which is convenient for travelers driving overnight. The room was a reasonable size, but seemed to have been cleaned and maintained so well that everything looked brand new, including the bathroom, which was a delightful surprise. There were a large number of AC power outlets in convenient places, plenty of table space, and USB Type A charging plugs. Checkout is early, 10 am, but everything else about this hotel was fantastic.

No Western Breakfast Offerings
Although my room was ready at 12.00 noon I was told to come back at 3.00pm for check in. This is where Japanese efficiency meets inflexibility. It makes no sense to make people wait unnecessarily when their room is already ready. I wanted to go to a large supermarket while waiting to check in, but the girl at reception just could not understand. Eventually I had to go to the railway station to be directed to the bus station to go to Aeon Mall half an hour away. The hotel room was quite small, but the space was manageable and it was clean although I do not understand the Japanese obsession with dark brown carpets and duvet covers. The mattress was comfortable, but the two small pillows were rock hard. They felt like they were filled with horsehair and bamboo. They gave me neck ache and so I had a sleepless night. Also, the air-conditioner was ineffective and so I was hot too. Not good! At breakfast there was nothing of interest to a Western guest. Only scrambled eggs made with powder and rubbery croissants were of any mediocre interest. There was no fruit, cereal, milk or coffee. As this hotel is marketed internationally on hotel booking websites the staff should be competent to a reasonable level in English and there should be breakfast offerings for all tastes, not only Japanese. Disappointing!

Clean and practically brand new no-frills hotel, very close to Kochi Station, and a 10-min walk to the city centre for shops and restaurants. Breakfast is simple but adequate. We were charged extra for parking (700 yen for one night), but were told not to take the car out again after checking in, as we may lose the spot, and/or would have to pay extra. We were a bit surprised by this arrangement. The hotel itself is comfortable enough for a one-night stay.

Super hotel
I was delighted with everything about this hotel. It is a very easy, short walk from the JR station. The ladies on the front-desk were uniformly charming and helpful, and the same goes for the breakfast room staff ~ lovely, all of them! Our room was large by any standards, but huge for Japan. The hotel still feels brand new. We loved the complimentary breakfast. The room was very busy on our first morning which was a national holiday (Foundation Day) but the next morning it was serenity itself. We also enjoyed relaxing in the 'Library Cafe' in the afternoons where we were able to help ourselves to coffee and tea. Turn left from the hotel and walk perhaps 5-10 mins then just beyond the police station is the Ace One supermarket. We loved that place. Super sashimi, plus yuzu-flavoured drinks. Mmmm. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Kochi ~ Chikurin-ji temple was divine, ditto the adjacent Makino Botanical Garden. The Comfort Inn was the perfect base.

A bright and clean hotel with room that is neat and tidy. It's very near to the JR station (about 5-minute walk) and my experience there is superb! Will certainly stay there when I next visit Kochi.
