We had such a lovely stay at this traditional ryokan. Yes, the property is a little dated, but it adds an old-world charm to such an accommodation. The service from the front desk to the lady who served us dinner in the room is impeccable. Its roof top has magnificent view of Lake Kawaguchiko and Mount Fuji. Not to mention it's about 10 minutes (or less) drive from Kawaguchiko Station, or about 20 minutes bus ride from the said station. The green line service of Fujikyu Omnibus bus stops right in front of the hotel at stop 26. It stops opposite the hotel on the return route. So, if you miss the last bus (4.30pm JST) of the said bus service, taking a taxi won't hurt the pocket. It costs us about 1270yen from Kawaguchiko Station on a generally traffic-less afternoon. The hotel also provides free shuttle service to Kawaguchiko Station which starts at 8am and ends at 11am, every other 30 minutes. We had a half-board (includes breakfast and dinner) stay. The meals suit our tastebuds and we have no complain. We can feel the effort put into preparing the dishes. We also tried both the public baths and thoroughly enjoyed the facility. We also walked from the hotel to Yagisaki Park and Kawaguchiko Muse Museum. This area is so lovely with its lavender garden (and many other flowers) and a sit-down cafe for you to enjoy the vicinity. A live music performer, Izanagi, was performing at the park too. All in all, love our stay!
