What a lovely hotel ! Has its own private beach, has many room options. We got a free upgrade to a private pool villa, there was no safe in the room but that just guaranteed 100% safety of our personal item's without worry (which is a nice change from other thai hotels). Friendly staff, nice buffet breakfast, can't fault it and would definitely go back!

Beautiful resort in a tranquil location still close enough to restaurants and attractions. The pool is well maintained and yoga/meditation classes are offered to all guests (one free pass and after a fee). The private beach is peaceful with stunning views but difficult to swim in without water shoes due to rocks. When asked about laundry service (advertised as available on site) the front desk clerk advised us that the person was not working today and gave no further information on when the service would resume. The front door of the room didn't seal completely allowing for lizards and mosquitoes to creep in through the cracks (hence the net around the bed). The continental breakfast had a good variety of food but it was difficult at times to know what was in the pre-prepared items (challenging for someone with allergies). Overall a pleasant stay.

Great getaway place
Enchanting location and environment, great service, bungalows are nicely done and calm, surrounded by plants. The hotel has a private beach, in addition to 2 swimming pools, and offers classes in yoga, talks....

The location is GREAT - relatively (!) secluded, private beach, great pool, spots to view the sea in solitude. Rooms are close to each as is true for all of Kho Phangan at this price, but still, there was privacy and space in the off-season. Very friendly, very clean, beautiful vegetation. Overall far above its neighboring hotels. Rooms can go for minor upgrades.

We had the pool villa. Its’ remote privacy, view, and porch was unreal. The best part of our room was the pool. After the long days of exploring, we’d return to our room and relax in the pool. Only downfall is - there is a no bottle opener 😋 make sure you buy one if you want to unwind with a brew!

The property was beautiful and well cared for. it's located right on the water and has a pool large enough for lap swimming. the food in the restaurant was very good and breakfast was really good and quite sufficient. It was close to numerous resturants, shops, etc. This resort was right next door to a yoga retreat where we were able t drop in for classes. They had scooter rentals onsite which was helpful and the staff was great in helping plan our departure and booking tickets for us.

Great resort
Great place to stay. The staff was vrry friendly, family mart is a 3 minute walk and there are many restaurants close by (plenty of vegan/veggie restaurants). The resort has two nice pools and a beach. Breakfast was included and the had a couple of different options every day as well as fresh fruit.

Gorgeous location and vibe
We had the most amazing stay! The villas are rustic, but not in a bad way. The views are amazing. The two pools awesomely located and it’s literally a 5 minute walk into Sri Thanu. The staff are amazingly friendly and made us feel so at home. They even have vegan pancakes at their breakfast which was a major plus for us. As mentioned, rooms are a bit rustic and could probably do with a bit of care, but honestly this was not an issue at all for us.

Perfect retreat
We stayed for only two nights but wish we had stayed much longer. Friendly stay and a superb check in/out service, plus the hotel facilities were fabulous. The private beach is perfect for romantic sunsets or just to enjoy the beach bbq. We had a villa with a private pool which was clean and well kept, and offered a lovely private place to relax. There are loads of lovely places to eat and explore near by too

The deluxe cottage was very disappointing
I paid the extra for the deluxe sea view cottage, the room was not much bigger then the bed, when I asked the staff if they made a mistake with my room they told me all the rooms were the same size. the shower was in ruff shape, the curtain holder looked like a piece of rebar anchor bolted to the chipped wall. The shower head holder was broken so I had to hold it to shower. The sea view was obstructed by trees and and a roof top. The biggest complaint I have about this hotel is that I could not bring my own booze on there beach. This is not a all inclusive resort so I bought a case of beer and a bottle of vodka only to find out that it was not allowed outside of my room, this would of been ok if I had the view I paid for, you had to purchase from them. The massive discount this hotel was advertising is what attracted me, the deluxe cottage that I rented was one of the smallest rooms I have stayed in.

We never advertised anything wrong not even room size but if you was expecting more big size so you had an option to upgrade to Suite with sea view. Trees grows by time same as us , So we kept trimming to clear the view but somehow if you like more view please contact to reception to change room for you but you didn't complaint o reception about view. During bar timing which is on the beach so guests should understand that it's a policy please not to bring outside booze to the bar area with many thanks as it's normal everywhere. Something is broken or some other problem please contact to reception to fix it as we have plumber, electrician, technician and all other staff for this purpose only.Writing on review can't fix broken shower but our staff can fit it immediately. Sorry for inconvenience once again. Hopefully see you again

Great People, Propery and Service!
My friend and I were in the Sri Thanu part of KPG for a short amount of time (hope to come back soon) and made the good decision to stay here. It was a fantastic place. Truly everything from the staff to the nice breakfast they serve and the fact that they were able to rent us a motor bike for a reasonable price made our stay here spectacular. There is also a massage service right near the pool/beach that was incredible.

An Awesome romantic getaway on the Island
We booked this originally as we wanted the peace and tranquility of the island life but also to be able to get to the Full Moon Party Upon arrival at the port once I called the hotel for directions they said instead they would send someone to pick us up and that was a nice touch especially as we hadnt booked it advance, Upon arrival at the hotel we had a cold towel and welcome drink given to us and then shown to our room, WOW room was awesome, Like a wooden lodge with its own path and view out into the ocean we couldnt ask for more. We didnt realize at the time but the resort is own by a Bhuddist monk and there is a huge amount of yoga and spa treatment facilities available and they were very reasonably priced. The dinner at night is a Thai buffet option which was actually really tasty with good choices and the breakfast in the morning was good too The hotel provides transport to the Full moon if that is your thing and also provide scooter rental for 250 THB today Only complaint? One first world problem, The wifi in anywhere other than the restaurant is awful but it is an island of tranquility after all :) Would 100% stay again

Fantastic stay at Loyfa! Strongly recommend!
Wonderful stay at Loyfa. We definitely recommend! The room was simple, clean and had a gorgeous view (we stayed in the 'seaview rooms'). The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, with a stunning balcony. Unfortunately the wifi didn't work in the room, but I am sure they will fix this soon since it worked very well in the rest of the hotel. In fact, we also stayed in beachfront rooms which are nice and have a great view and great wifi but are bit small. The staff goes out of their way to accomodate their guests. The two pools and private beach are so charming. The bar is great as well. Our one complaint was the lack of vegetarian/vegan options on the menu. Especially since Loyfa is located in the heart of the apex of vegan restaurants and yoga retreats of the island, it seems including some vegan options on the breakfast and dinner/lunch menu would be worth the while. Similarly, while we understand that Loyfa is a bit off the grid and phone lines are hard to install, it seems that including phones in the rooms to contact reception if/when needed would be a worthy add-on to the hotel, especially since it is a large resort. Nevertheless, due to the quality of the staff and setting, and the great value for money we will be sure to return to Loyfa on our next visit to Koh Pha Ngan! Strongly recommend!

Great hotel, secluded and very pretty. My only frustration was food, with a surprising limited local number of nearby restaurants it was really necessary to scooter to find lots of yummy options. Also surprising was the hotel's food, an ok breaky and an average dinner, (although had an excellent aussie tenderloin one night). Ive just had better food on previous trips to Thailand. very happy with Loyfa and really loved the very helpful and kind staff. a beautiful trip overall - thankyou

Set in beautiful location, close to small town with plenty of restaurants. Quiet. I liked it very much. The standard room I stayed in needed renovation, more two star. The bungalows looked great but I didn't see inside. Otherwise it's a very nice hotel with the best pool I've ever seen.

You need to rent scooters for your stay 250 bht per 24 hours. Breakfast was so-so. Ran out of sausage so we got hotdogs... Water pressure from the showers was pitiful. Get the whole fish in the Thai three spice. BBQ squid was good on day then totally different the next. Pools are awesome. Beach is so so lots of rocks. Lots of stairs to the beach,resturant and pools. Oh yea look out for the first downhill left hand turn with scooters. A Chinese chick went over the curb while we were there.

The service and property were both amazing. You had a choice of 2 beach areas, 2 bars and 2 pools. It is a little far from down town but that is what makes this place special. I am not one to just relax at the hotel all day but this place made this possible/enjoyable for me just to do nothing for a day. Renting a motorbike, yoga, and many other activities can all be managed at the property as well. Bungalows give you your nice little private area. Sunsets are amazing from the hotel beach as well.

Staff great,very friendly. Variety of bungalows varying by price class, views and interiors. Nice well kept grounds with plenty of shade. On different levels so be aware if you have problems.... We stayed in a deluxe beach/sea and pool bungalow, fantastic views, big bungalow and big balcony with seating. Housekeeping regular and doing great job. Could do with some more hangers in the cupboard and a safe. Also bungalow could do with a bit of a spruce up. 2 beautiful pools on the property, 1 sunrise, 1 sunset and the restaurant is overlooking beach/sea and sunrise pool. Umbrellas for shade and sunloungers/beanbags. There's also a nice clean private beach with umbrellas and chairs with in front a sort of channel 2 walk in the water to swim (different tides/different times of the year) There have been stings by box jellyfish so be aware! There's 4 canoes incl peddles (no charge when I was there) , bikes for rent at the front desk in lobby and a free book exchange. you can also book tours and tickets here. I really enjoyed my stay here . However the breakfast was same same and quite boring if you stay a bit longer. More attention should be given for food to be hot when brought to the table although this was not a problem when there was a bf buffet (only when enough tourists) would most definitely come back here to enjoy this resort.

i'm so happy to have the free upgrade from loyfa suite to Sunset Honeymoon pool villa , it was amazing view and private pool to enjoy the magic moment. We stay in two days , they have delicious Thai and western breakfast buffet and two swimming pool to us. They have free kayak for rent .

You pay for the view
Upon checking into Loyfa we found the room we selected was very tiny and run down so we asked to see their other options. We were given two options for the price of an additional ten dollars a night. It was well with it as we went from a small room with no view to a large room with an unobstructed view of the ocean and Koh Sumui. Overall this hotel was good for the view and the large clean pool. The service at the front reception was awful as far as helpfulness. We used them to set up transportation to our next hotel on the other side of the island and we were told the phoned our new hotel and that they would meet half way and where we would get into their car. Instead we got dropped off at the ferry pier and told to take a taxi. After arriving at our new hotel they said that Loyfa never called to confirm anything about transporting (this new hotel was a five star and had the resources so I am inclined to believe them).

Great hotel, really beautiful surroundings, the pools and the beach are better than the photos, we were thrilled with the facilities. Our room was small but perfectly comfortable, only negative about the room is that the cleaners leave the double door open when they clean and we ended up with two lizards in our room, one of which never left and meant we had a creepy night of no sleep hearing it raid our bin and make load noises. We just couldn't catch it, meaning that it was in our room for the last 3 nights sleep. Staff were almost all exceptional, we were greeted by Kate on reception who was a fantastic help with our stay, giving us information, very personable and generally lovely to speak to every day, we were then showed down some steps to the bar which is awesome, Charlie is the bar manager and he was great. He makes fab cocktails, make sure you ask for a 'Charlie Special' he gave us a honeymoon complimentary cocktail too, we really experienced feeling very special by the staff, thank you for that. One of the reasons we booked the hotel was for the scooter hire (you shouldn't hire from places along the street as there are lots of scams) it turns out they don't let you hire it if you haven't ridden one before and were not willing to allow us to practice around the car park. If this is their terms then fair enough but don't advertise scooter hire at the hotel without mentioning this as we would have booked another hotel, the scooter was absolutely necessary on the island

Grounds are beautiful. Two pools. Friendly staff. Rooms are a tad banged up - and the bathroom functionality was a bit off (think: drippy sink, can't flush your toilet paper in the toilet, shower is VERY basic). In-room WIFI was unavailable the entire stay due to a lightening storm (so not really their fault but still...)

This is a lovely little hotel and the staff are just fantastic, we had suite L10. Well not really a suite but awesome view looking out over the sea to koh samui, We enjoyed our time here so much we booked an extra 5 days because the island is just so peaceful, But the hotel does have some issues which don't seem to be address, The TV stations are really limited and out of 17 that are available I think only 8 work, there's no hot water in the bathrooms and the little trickle takes ages, easier to boil the kettle, the shower is ok, choice of rainfall or normal, but again lacks water pressure. The air con takes some getting used too as well, don't go for auto, The breakfast is really good and the staff go to great lengths to protect the food from flys, the only big downside is the dam Mosquitos they are a real pain, but that's not the hotels fault, We had issues with ant, but the cleaning staff soon dealt with that and left half a can in case we needed it. The pools are good, and overall a wonderful experience .

We originally planned to stay at the Loyfa Resort only one night for the Full Moon Party! However, upon arrival we were upgraded to a Pool Villa and ended up hanging out at the hotel the entire night. Unassuming on arrival, the Loyfa Natural Resort was excellent overall. The price was fair for what you got—while I don’t want to speculate on the overall services of the hotel, our experience was positive.

Beautiful location, very helpfull and serviceminded staff! We stayed in the Bach front bongalows and that i would recommand, because they are right on the Beach and right by a great pool. The only slitly negative would be the breakfast, which could have been a lot more creative.. Only loaf and standards - but they make you fresh omelett! Enjoy!

agreat Boutique resort with an affordable option
The Lyfa was a gem in the rough. My room was quite comfy, but the bed was not the best, I could feel the springs and actually bruised my elbow getting in and out of bed. That was my only serious complaint. I stayed two nights and then opted to move closer into town where I ended up catching a head cold, so after I two days of roughing it I went back to the Loyfa, which is a few blocks and up a hill from Seeratanu. The internet was speedy, included breakfast was alright, coffee was grea and they didn't worry about giving me some coconut milk to go with it, and tthe staff was beyond nice, and even when I screwed up and stayed an extra night and missed my train out of Surat Thani, They actually caught the mistake, but it was too late.they were very nice in helping me form a new plan with their knowledgable travel agent (who also had the cold). It is up a hill, so walking with a cold was kind of a hassle. You can rent scooters though. I stayed in the apartments which were spacious, and comfortable. I'd reccomend upstairs for the view out the back window. they are doing some construction and finishing a second pool, so there was a small amount of noise, but not much, and the entrance to the grounds is a bit ravaged with construction debris. Not a big detractor though. I'd definitely stay there again.

A nice little resort
Only stayed for 3 nights the Room was adequate, if a little unfinished, half concrete floors/walls still showing. Overall resort seemed modern/well maintained, the bungalows looked really nice just a little out of our price range. The resort had a really nice pool, with a good little restaurant/bar. A little remote but has everything you need there to enjoy a very relaxing stay.Overall I would stay again and maybe upgrade to the bungalows next time and maybe take advantage of renting a bike/car from the hotel to explore the local area

Good Hotel but overpriced on full moon
Positive areas of this hotel is private beach, food, staff and pool. I liked my stay but major turnoff is bathrooms which are very old styled and small. During full moon, this hotel was 3 times costlier.

Great staff
My boyfriend and me spent 5 nights at Loyfa and we would definitely do it again. The staff is soooo nice and forthcoming and they made our stay really pleasant. Loyfa boasts everything you need - at a reasonable price. The only thing I have to criticize is the massage. The massage ladies are nice, but I got 2 Thai massages fromt two different ladies and they turned out to be very rough. I am quite aware that - to a certain point - Thai massage has to hurt a little. But after my first massage I ended up with a pinched nerve, so I came back the next day so that they fix it again. Nevertheless, I would recommend Loyfa at any time.

Right on the beach
I had a bungalow that was literally 25 feet away from the beach. Very quiet and great for anyone looking for some isolation. The nearest "life" is in Thongsala which is about a 15 minute scooter ride. There are a lot of Yoga resorts nearby so everyone that is in this area is pretty relaxed. The only issue I had was that the WIFI didn't reach my room but I guess that's why I got somewhere a bit remote. Restaurant was simple and had pretty good food.
