The hotel is very close to Kurashiki station and walkable distance to Bikan historical quarters. There are many shops and restaurants nearby shotengai/roofed shopping areas. The room was clean and has basic things you need. The microwave in the room was a nice touch. I bought breakfast at the grocery store next door and warm up my food. Overall, great price and very convenient location.

Given a name like “Dormy” was not sire what to expect. This hotel had a lot of “extras” included, like the onsen bath, bot indoor and outside versions. Free ramen after 9:30, free icecream and massage chairs on the 9th floor. It was very close to the main historic part of Kurashiki, literally across the street. The rooms were a little small, bit the bed was comfortable. Also had laundry seevicrw for guests.

"The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He informed us that we had timed our stay perfectly because exclusively for one night only, the longest bridge in Japan would light up in celebration for Golden Week. Indeed it happened and we had a great view from our Japanese style room."
