Good hotel , excellent location
Excellent location near to all the sight seeing spots. Cooperative staff. Hotel is bit old and so are fittings and utilities like bedsheets and towels. Food is good and breakfast buffet too. But overall good stay.

Stayed for 4 days. Great experience. Location - 10/10. 10min walk from good restaurants on park street. Centrally located. Room - 7/10. i had a back facing room. Didn't have noise from the street. Rooms were decent l enough. I felt my bed was a bit old.. A bit springy. Bathroom was neat and clean which is important. Breakfast - 10/10 another highlight Staff - 10/10. I must mention them. Very very courteous and friendly. Right from the reception to the room service and hotel staff

Great stay
The hotel is near to US Vac center so if you are looking for any consulate related accomodation, this is the place to go. Just 5 min walking. Food and service is very good. Good place for family stay too.

Siamton inn is a nice place which is very close to park street Kolkata where all good restaurants and bars are located and also it is a affordable alternative to hotels which are right in park street area.

Great Hotel
Excellent hotel centrally located in Kolkata. Friendly and courteous staff. Excellent wifi, great breakfast buffet, nice bathroom with plenty of hot water, numerous television channels (if you need to watch tv), comfortable bed and pillows. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when in Kolkata.

Not at all worthy stay considering the room rate
The location is convenient. However, room maintaninence is very poor . It is not just worthy to pay INR 5500 per night and the picture and reality has a lot diiference. Reception staffs are not cordial.

Not very helpful front desk
Location was good. You can walk to St Mother Teresa's convent/tomb and a few other sights as well. Breakfast buffet was good with a few order to made choices. Staff at restaurant were very attentive and nice. I found the security men to be much more helpful than the front desk staff. I had the neighborhood map and asked the front desk lady to point out where the hotel was. She told me to take a seat on the couch and wait. She was standing doing nothing in front of a guest who was chatting on her cell phone. And i asked another time the front desk about getting a taxi to the airport. He would not give me any advice and would only offer a hotel taxi which was almost 4 times the price . I was in disbelief and told him this was the only hotel in the world that won't help me get to the airport besides an overpriced taxi ordered by the hotel. He didn't care. Security once again helped me out and got me a taxi to the airport at 25% the price!

Superior rooms are good the standard ones suck. Maintenance is low. I have been to this hotel two years in a row and saw how it had degraded due to lack of maintenance over the last one year. Food is amazing at both breakfast and Grand Route restaurant. Friendly staff.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at , its expensive and definitely not worth your money . I had brought my family for a trip to Kolkata and there was no water in the morning , we could not even use rhe restrooms as fhe water was all black and muddy. The food is also disappointing and the rooms are small and stuffy and smells so much of cheap perfume i had to cover my nose each time i go in. I am so dissapointed. I want a refund !

The hotel has 6 standard rooms which are very small. You will feel claustrophobic in those rooms. The staff is good though. They will try to upgrade your room to the superior. The reason for my lower rating is that the maintenance is low and complaints are not addressed. The BAD: We had three rooms, One was very small with signs of extreme wear and tear. One room had no shower curtains, one room had dysfunctional bathroom exhaust. The GOOD: The restaurant (Grand route) and its staff is great. Breakfast is mind blowing. If you are lucky then you might get a superior room with all functional appliances.

I and my family stayed at the hotel during our visit to Kolkata for our visa interview. The hotel is very close to the US visa consulate. It has really nice breakfast and good rooms. Overall we enjoyed our short stay here.

Arrival and check in was smooth. Staff was courteous. Location does not have much outside, typical crowded Kolkata roadside ... but once inside its Very Good. Room was just the right size - not too big for a business stay. The usual complementary extras were in the room - water, tea / coffee, stationary. Air-conditioning was good - temp control very good. Bath - clean and well stocked. Only negative - the bed was softer on one side... probably old mattress.... kept rolling to that side - If I had to stay more than one night I would have complained. The complementary Breakfast was very good. Check out was quick. Overall positive experience.

The Hotel location is goos,the staff was very courteous. The room was very basic and very small.The bath & toilet is very tiny. The hotel did not provide shaving,dental kits which all hotels do these days. The breakfast buffet was dissapointing. On a Sunday checkout,with no new guests checking in,the hotel refused late check out beyond 1 pm. In this regards ,I have had good experiences with The Park,Hyatt,Trident & Crowne Plaza who have co-operated in case of a late flight by accomodating late check out till 3 pm. The Reception staff were not very receptive,no smiles or welcome sign in their approach. For Business visit,Ok,with family a definite NO.

Nice hotel with great fresh food in summer
The food in first floor is amazing. It's international acceptance good meal. I'm surprised I can find vegetables juice and boiled many kinds of vegetables without sugar and salt. Super healthy. And local food I ate is also very delicious and wonderful good looking. The fruits also I love to have. The most important is their coffee shop open overnight. All food are very fresh. I recommend this hotel to those who care about eating during their travels.

Perfect Location
Great location to the Mother House - 10minutes walk. Also on Park Street and close to Concert halls. I walked every where but there are tuk tuks, taxis outside. Lots of street food. Hotel has two lovely restaurants. Staff are great and very helpful. Not surrounded by markets - which I found great. Park Street has shopping, cafes - 15 minute walk. As on main street can be noisy but most places here are and you get used to it - and I usually don't like noise :)

The helpful & friendly staff at the hotel made our stay in Kolkata worthwhile, their advice and help getting things sorted was invaluable. Kolkata is a unique experience and very busy, hectic and intimidating. I would strongly suggest getting the hotel to organise a car for the day to take you around and see the city and the main sights, we had a very friendly driver - this only cost 1600INR (+ taxes) Situated at the top of Park Street there are plenty of things to see in the local area and good places to eat down Park St, the restaurant downstairs in the hotel is very good as well. Both Kaushik & Mahfuzul were really helpful getting everything organised for us and were happy to provide plenty of advice on the local area as well as sorting transfers and drivers etc.
