Pros: cleanliness & food
Cons: Immediate attention to guest, quick room service. availability of personal cares in room like, dental kit, shaving kit etc.
I like this hotel. Service, food, room cleanliness was good.

Enjoyed The Sonnet

After long flights from the USA, The Sonnet was the right choice for our comfort. They made arrangements for my husband and I to be picked up by a taxi. The staff was welcoming and the room comfortable. The buffet was delicious. Our overall experience was excellent.

Decent short stay

they upgraded me to a bigger room. Liked the ambiance of the hotel.Although, the size is small, but it is comfortable for a business trip

Hotel away from the CBD

Staff from this hotel had emailed me at least 2 weeks before we departed for India to confirm the booking. During our flight to India and while we were in transit I received 2 emails stating that the booking was going to be cancelled unless I porvided credit card details on the return email. In panic I rang the hotel and was informed they had no payment details.They did not acknowledge that this info could have been obtained at least 2 weeks before our stay. Due to the stress we nearly missed our connecting flight. Having stayed in many hotels around the world we had never experienced the threat of a cancellation within a few hours of our checkin! The staff at the hotel were inexperienced and had difficulty understanding English despite it's claims as being a 4star international hotel. The staff were rude to us and our guests and impatient with our requests. They refused to put through calls to our room and didn't change the linen despite our repeated requests over the 2 week of our stay. The hotel did not provide toiletries and freash towels each day or replace the toillet paper. Why is this hotel rated 4 star? It should be 2 stars if that! We will not be staying at this hotel again.

Overcharged for nothing!

Horrible treatment by staff. Arrived at 4am and yet have to wait another 30mins to prep the room. I had already called earlier to let them know we are coming but no initiative to be proactive.

Not disappointed on our Return stay at all!!

Top three things: Bed...completely awesome, Buffet dinner...So so tasty!!!! and Shower water pressure was awesome! Located about 20 minutes from airport...great stop!

Excellent hotel in Salt Lake

Pros: Location, with easy access to all of North / East Kolkata.
Located near City Centre 1, this is a 4 Star hotel, with Club rooms par excellence while the normal rooms a bit cramped. All the room facilities either worked or was attended to e.g., needed a wifi extender to get the full strength of the wifi signal. The breakfast is a wide spread and was the highlight of the trip.

Excellent business hotel

Location: Saltlake is about 30 mins from central Kolkata by car. The Sonnet is a couple of minutes' walk from the "City Centre 1" shopping precinct.
I stayed in a Club Room, which is a good size and excellent value. High speed wifi access is included, which is a great benefit compared with some of the five-star brands. The club room has a seating area with a comfortable sofa. Service is efficient and friendly and there is a good and cost-effective laundry service. I found the food to be tasty with a good choice. The evening buffet is good value. I recommend The Sonnet as a hotel that provides excellent value - the best that I know of in its category in the Saltlake area.
