I would stay here again. It was in a perfect location near all kinds of small local home cooking style restaurants. Also there is a beautiful view of the sea from the dinning area.

The receptionist was not very welcoming . There were very few bfast options unlike any hotel in Turkey. If u wanted a fried egg or an onneplette of ur choice we were asked to pay extra. The breakfast options in Turkey hotels r amazing but this hotel is very poorly managed .

The food was excellent. Menu changed every day and the price is really affordable. The room is spacious, nice view on the sea. Very close to the city and attractions. Staff very caring. I love it.

We liked the hotel itself and the food was good too. But the location is not so great if you are looking for some area clean and easy to access.

If you think book here reconsider
If you’re considering booking this hotel my advice is don’t! I paid for double bed and guess what? I got single bed. Bed and pillows are uncomfortable. The area around the hotel is noisy I barely found a spot for my car.

The sea view is awesome if you get a sea-view room. Rooms are clean, furniture is good as you'd expect from a Best Western. There is parking, but it's very limited and cramped.

I am calling tomorrow, I reserved in advance from a travel site 4 nights, I was called back to work and stayed 3 nights but you charged me more than if would have stayed 4 nights, not a place I will recommend to anyone

Handy for sight-seeing.
We stayed at this hotel for a day before catching an onward flight from Izmir airport to London. The hotel location along the sea front and close to the enormous and interesting bazaar was good from the point of view of finding your way back from sightseeing. A local taxi driver said that the hotel had been known locally as one of the best for a long time. We used the comfortable lounge for planning our day which was facilitated by the hotel letting us have our room by 11 o'clock. Dinner was in the hotel's pleasant restaurant; the sea view was unfortunately partly blocked by a multi-lane highway. The wi-fi signal was weak however and the habit of having duvets on the beds even when the weather is hot is becoming annoying. Overall very good value.

very easy to get around. taxis plentiful.
The room was fine, breakfast food delicious except little English from reception staff and female receptionists quite rude and dismissive, Asian looking woman did not know about antique building of synagogue in aasansör and spoke to me like l was the idiot! very off putting so we asked friendly male staff to help us with where things are and what best places to visit. they were lovely. still loved staying there as central and easy to get to like areas of Alsanjac and Asansör etc.

Overpriced but nice
They never did give us coffee or water as advertised unless we asked for it. They really do not speak much English so it was very hard to get help with anything. We had to stay a few extra days and instead of offering the discount that is shown on hotels.com we got stuck with paying much more per nite not what this site shows. I would recommend paying for this hotel bill in advance! They say they have a money exchange but they would only exchange 50.00 US dollars for me. It is a quick walk to the town center, university, and Elevator restaurant. Beautiful views! Breakfast got old after a week of the same thing , but they offer very good coffee and fruit.

It's the little things that make the difference
For the price, the room was fine, albeit quite small, and was kept clean. However, the attention to housekeeping details was poor, eg minibar not re-stocked for 2 days, tea/coffee etc facilities not re-stocked at all during my 3 night stay and the promised (per hotel terms) 1litre per day of free drinking water was actually just 1/2 litre on the first night and nothing thereafter. Other than the view over the sea, it's not a great location, eg few local restaurants. 15 minute walk to nearby ferry to Karsiyaka on the other side of the bay provides lots of bars and restaurants. Breakfasts are good.

Great family hotel
Enjoyed the sea view room and the staff was great. Issues when they occurred, were resolved quickly. The hotel is right across the sea and a walking distance to most Izmir attractions. If you stay for longer than one day...forget the complimentary coffee!!! it is a bring your coffee hotel.The breakfast was similar to all the hotels we stayed in Turkey: simple, but good..except for scrambled eggs..they are mushed eggs

Good Hotel Near the Sea in Izmir
A friend and I stayed at the Best Western Konak while on a bicycle trip in Turkey. Our route actually took us through Izmir twice and we stayed at this property both times. The staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms (both or them) were clean and up to date. The location was a bit off the beaten track, toward the end of the toruisty part of the waterfront. This meant longer walks (or more taxi rides) to get to the center of things. But that's a relatively minor gripe. On the whole, this was a good hotel and I would certainly consider it should I travel to Izmir, Turkey again.
