Good hotel. Great breakfast and staff very helpful. Tired carpet in our bedroom . Overall very good value for money and excellent location.

Cons: Nil of note
Location: Great - walking distance to city centre parks sea restaurants
All services Great. Location close to city centre and best restaurants. Executive rooms have access to 5th floor snacks and drinks free of charge canteen. Swimming pool, Spa and tennis courts available and high standards.

Not Great, They wanted an extra 100Eur just for checking in before 14:00 and said they could not guarantee a room would be ready by 14:00. Room given was a twin room, when a king size room was booked. Checking in staff rude and not very accommodating.

Excellent Hotel

There a only a few places that a traveller cannot find a fault. This is one of them. Excellent hotel with highly professional and well-trained staff. Rooms are well decorated and maintained. I was extremely satisfied.

Great sea front location. Value for money luxury.

Location: Good sea front location. Near the Clock Tower, Konak.
Great service and completely hassle free from the moment we arrived. Valet parking made our arrival so much easier. Check in was smooth and efficient. Our room was an executive sea view room with access to the executive club lounge. This was great value for money as breakfast, tea in the afternoon and buffet snacks and alcoholic drinks from 6 - 8pm were served in the lounge and all included in the room rate. The room was clean, modern and spacious with a large marble bathroom. Complimentary toilettries were plentiful and good quality. A plate of fruit in the room on our arrival was a lovely touch. The outdoor pool was lovely. Plenty of sun beds and the use of pool towels. Wifi was excellent whether we were in our room, the executive lounge or at the outdoor pool.

Somehow disappointed

The hotel is great and all its facilities. However, I am extremely disappointing that the hotel do not announce that certain areas closed for renovation. I was looking forward to use the GYM facilities (and this is the main reason I booked this hotel) but it was closed.

A gorgeous hotel, fantastic staff and amenities

Pros: Elegant without being flashy,, delicious cuisine, well situated, charming and informed staff, many unusual amenities, tennis, salon, fabulous spa
Cons: Several days a week there is an outdoor concert beginning in the early evening of traditional Turkish music. It is blaring, disruptive, incongruous.
Location: Centrally located, a variety of shops--elegant but moderately priced--restaurants close by, easy to catch a cab, well protected, a feeling of security
We always feel relaxed, welcomed in a personal way, and attended to as if we were "special" guests rather than simply retired academics with some work obligations. Every effort is made to accomodate to our needs and those of friends who at times , drop by for a chat. One day my husband wasn't feeling well, but not so sick as to require a doctor. When he mentioned his problem, the front desk immediately contacted an excellent pharmacy and then quickly made the trip to pick up the medicines for him so as not to inconvenience him--all at no extra cost. We feel safe and well protected but without staff appearing overimposing. The hotel is quiet, calm, efficient, elegant without being stuffy, and with expansive well maintained surroundings. It is exceptionally visually appealing-with beautiful and unusual art both indoors and outdoors.. With respect to the art (we have an art collection ourselves)---- We expressed our curiosity as to the diversity and authenticity of the art-a departure from the usual commercial hotel art-- to the lovely, quietly elegant, refined and always accessible concierge. When her responsibilities had ended for the day, she gave us a well informed, enthusiastic "mini tour" of the hotel's collection- modestly mentioning in passing that she has advanced degree in art history.

A fantastic break at this hotel

Pros: The hotel is in a great location, with excellent facilities.
Location: 2 minute walk to the seafront and an excellent choice of restaurants and bars.
A great weekend in Izmir mixing business with pleasure. Have used other hotels in the area before but will definitely be returning to the Swisshotel. Brilliant service from all staff with particular mention to the concierge who helped us to get some beautiful flowers to give to our hosts for the weekend. Excellent room and facilities and a fantastic choice for breakfast.
