The experience on Breatix hotel was outstanding with five starts excellent. Property and staff makes our staying a five star experience. Definetly will continuing staying on next visits to Den Helder.

For improvement: I would like to see towel racks to hang wet towels on. The hotel's windows need cleaned and the garden needs maintenance. What I liked: - Breakfast - Price - Location - Ability to hire bikes

Quiet and Relaxing
Very relaxing stay in a lovely hotel. Just one comment Reception should ask guests if they have any physical problems before being allocated a room at the end of numerous flights of stairs (# 40). The additional 'work-out' was not particularly welcome!

Het is een mooi hotel en precies op de plek waar we wilde zijn. Een heerlijk binnen zwembad. Ontbijten is een feestje. Dineren is ingewikkeld. Op de site is daarover weinig informatie beschikbaar.

I stayed for 9 days. During this time, my sheets never changed. Breakfast was the same all the time. When we left we had a very bad winter weather.

Nice beachfront hotel
Lovely hotel location, right on the beachfront. Good restaurant (self pick up, eat in the room). Nice comfortable room with small balcony and a partial sea view. It was an upgrade from the original room however, it didn't feel that way since the room was next to the elevator so not quiet at all. There was no water kettle, tea, coffee, not even a complimentary bottle of water in the room, which other rooms had. There were breakfast crumbs from previous guests on the floor, although the room seamed clean overall. Breakfast was good, delivered in front of the room, which was great. Spa amenities run down but pleasant. With an additional small effort, this could've been a very memorable stay.

Great place
The room was not what I expected but the staff did a great job to correct it and we received a bottle of champagne as well. The restaurants are great. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Basic Amenities Missing
The room was not clean at all. There was dust on the side tables. Intercom was not working. In their services list, room service is mentioned but there is no room service facility. When i asked for a cup of coffee i was asked to come to the reception to get it. The carpet was wet due to water leaking inside the room through the balcony door. No kettle, coffee, tea facility in the room.

Always happy to go back
The food is always good and well worth a visit. The view and setting are relaxing and the service is friendly and welcoming. Parking is never a problem and it's a relaxing hotel to visit.

A very nice beach hotel just outside Den Helder
A perfect stop for cycling the North Sea Eurovelo route—quiet, clean, comfortable, nice deck overlooking the sea.

The location is amazing. The pool and sauna are nice. The restaurant on the ground floor is good and the breakfast is super. The desk and restaurant staff are friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff is not so great. They didn’t make my bed and I believe they picked up, and folded the damp towels I had used and put them back on the rack. They were on the floor because I had to wipe up the water that went all over the bathroom because the shower door doesn’t do an adequate job of keeping water in the shower. They were still damp and fresh towels generally aren’t. The property is old, the rooms smell like cigarette smoke which bothered my allergies since I’m allergic. There are dings in the walls and the carpet needs to be replaced and the room is very dark. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was obviously designed for women who don’t wear makeup because the mirror is too far to get close to put on makeup and although there are other mirrors in the room the lighting in the room was so horrible it was a trial trying to see to apply makeup. I think despite everything I would recommend the property but I wouldn’t stay here again because of the cigarette smoke issue. The price is really very reasonable and as I said the location, right by the ocean and close to walking and running trails is fantastic.

Nice location on the sea wall plenty of opportunity to walk or run and get fresh air. Reception is ok and check in was efficient. Very pleasant staff. Nice bar area. Breakfast selection a little lacking but adequate nontheless. Room was comfortable and spacious enough. There is quite a lot of noise from the corridors and rooms above, I was glad to have earplugs with me.

The restaurant is a must!
Stayed one night for business in a twin room. Room was clean and spacious with all the usual features including a full mini bar. Breakfast was very good and plenty to choose from. The one thing you have to do when you stay at this hotel is eat at the restaurant on the top floor. If you dine over sunset you get a fabulous view and the food is very highly rated.

Quiet hotel near lighthouse
A comfortable room and a good continental breakfast. Very nice bar and restaurant upstairs. In a quiet area by the beach and lighthouse. 5 minutes by taxi to Den Helder centre.

The hotel's location is absolutely superb with marvellous scenery and walks. I regret we did not sample what appeared to be a very superior restaurant, so cannot comment, but I would say it is definitely for foodies with a farly large wallet judging by the menu. I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel
