Hotel is new and shiny and the facilities are clearly the best in town. However, the service level is patchy and does not reflect the excellent infrastructure. Credit where it’s due, the restaurant staff are very good. The food outlets we tried, the main restaurant and the bistro bar, both ran very well.
The front desk and the bar service however are not delivering 5 star service. The front desk team seemed unsure about everything. Whilst we were there the internet went down i.e. both the business centre and the wifi. There seemed no urgency to do anything about this. By day 4 when we left, still not working. I imagine that had the tills stopped then the IT hiccup might have been fixed! There is a lot of technology in this hotel and they must have in-house IT. Totally unacceptable at these prices and more annoying by the shrugging of shoulders when asked when it would be fixed. The bar area too is most unwelcoming verging on intimidating.
Overall not good enough to guarantee a return visit.
