Perfect getaway resort

Pros: Cleanliness, food, service
The staff is extremely cordial, the facilities are unbelievably good. The Italian Restaurant on the beach (Bellini) has lovely food and great ambience. The hotel was especially kind to us since we were a newly wed couple on our honeymoon.

Excellent service, bad food

The service is excellent at Amari. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and welcome. However, the food was extremely disappointing and very expensive. Due to the location being far away from town, there are no other options except to go to Tubkaak resort next door. It's very unfortunate that the food is so bad as the resort is beautiful and everywhere else in Thailand has such delicious food at much more reasonable prices

Incredible view and beautiful hotel

We had a really pleasant stay. The hotel si beautiful and the service is really good the only thing that I would improve o the food. Is not bad at all but in this kind of hotel you expect a much better food. I would definitely go back again.

A piece of heaven on earth

Pros: The staff are outstanding, they're a great team. The location is relaxing, the beds comfortable, everything you need is at your finger tips.
Cons: Nothing - except that it rained for about half an hour one day, but I guess that's out of their control!
If you want to feel special, stay here. We had a fabulous stay - the staff are superb, they cannot do enough to make your stay memorable. The Amari is exceptionally well run, it is located on a white sand beach in a quiet area (the hotel runs a shuttle service to Ao Nang beach if you crave a full-on tourist resort) but there is everything you need right here. Lovely pool areas with well kept gardens. Our room was very comfortable, spacious and spotless. The two restaurants are first class, with a great breakfast buffet. You are made so welcome, we didn't want to leave.

Our second visit to the Amari - outstanding!

Pros: Staff friendliness; Location; Room (and bed) comfort.
Cons: Better mattresses on the sun loungers (current ones are a bit tired and worn).
It was great to revisit the Amari with it's friendly staff and stunning sunsets. We were upgraded on arrival which was a lovely surprise and quickly dropped back into relaxation mode. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Patrice (GM) and Romain (Food and Beverage Manager) were very attentive and welcoming and their staff, especially at Bellini were superb. Bellini is definitely the pick of the two on-site restaurants, with italian inspired and some fusion dishes. The beach side location and quality of the food makes it an easy choice for dinner. We took the shuttle bus to Ao Nang on one of the nights, good for shopping for souvenirs and there are some excellent seafood restaurants too.

Nice room - everything else just ok

Location: Location was somewhat secluded. Far from the airport and everything.
When we first arrived we were put in a room with no view, while I believe we booked a room with view. There were no other similar rooms available that day. They did move us to a new room the following day, but as a result we weren't able to repack. The second room with a Jacuzzi on the balcony was very nice and spacious. The staff was very helpful and nice, except on our third day there when we had to call to have the roomed clean, mind you this was at 4 pm. The pool and beach were nice, but seemed to be a limited number of chairs. The main reason we wouldn't choose to stay here again was the food. There are two restaurants and we were disappointed each night at dinner. We tried both and ordered a variety of things, but the food was never worth the money. Not only that, while they provide complimentary water in the room, they charge you for water at dinner.

Nice hotel with beautiful view but terrible staff.

My wife and I stayed here for two days. Our check in was nice and comfortable. The room (4203) was very nice, my wife saw few ants but didnt bother about them. After having a meal at Bellini (which was a great experience) went to Aonong beach. We came back after about 4 hours around 9:30 pm and saw that our bed was full of hundreds of those similar tiny ants. We called the reception and they said they'll make the bed again. The guy who came to make the bed understood very little English and managed to tell us that he had made the bed just shortwhile ago. We decided not to sleep in that room as the ants can get into ones ear/ nose while sleeping. So they shifted us to another room on 5th floor and the guy who moved us said they didn't have any ants on this floor? This new room had a very big bed and had very little room on the sides. There were no slippers and bath mat and only one towel. After making several calls for room we were assured a jacuzzi room next day. We lost almost 2hrs sleep in the process. The reception guy who hardly understood English didn't book veg meal even after several requests and said sorry afterwards. We got the jacuzzi room but wasn't clean properly and had dirty sleepers this time. Even after several calls nobody responded and I talked to the manager (Romain) then. He was great guy. Everything fell in place after we talked to him. He even gave us a complementary meal at the Bellini. If Romain hadn't intervened it would have been a terrible stay.

Nicely maintained 4 star property.

It's was a amazing stay from room to property location at tab kaek beach.Only point which we felt negative was absence of Indian Food and the location is a bit inside from market area.
