Worst Nightmare

-the hotel is rundown and under maintained. -first step into the room I saw cracks on the wall and dirt & stains all over the furnitures. -2 cockroaches welcomed us by dashing across the bed and the bathroom. -complanined to the receptionist and check out immediately. The receptionist promised to work on the refund with Expedia however, to date I have not been receiving any updates from them even with my follow up email. -a big NO and NEVER to me!

Functional hotel

It was a good hotel, clean room and friendly attentive staff. Good place to stay if you need to be in around Masjid Jamek area(5-10 mins walking distance).

Not sure if i wanna come back again

I used to stay at Silka a few years back coz of the location... Room was nice and clean and I did enjoy my stay that time... but this time I was soo disappointed coz the rooms were all infested with roaches!!(I booked 6 rooms, btw). The carpet were not cleaned properly coz I could see crumbs and i found a sock under the tv console!!! And also the hotel needs to do something abt the wifi connection.. I could not connect to the wifi in my own room but instead i hv to use the wifi from my parents' room... even when i can get connected, it'll be super SLOW! And always get disconnected... sooo frustrating!!! Don't think I'm coming back... not until the hotel gets a better ratings from other travellers

Convenient location but dirty room

Booked 2 rooms and stayed 2 nights. First enter the rooms the coffee & sugar sachets were not available. Then realised both of our rooms plenty of small cockroaches crawling everywhere. Despite informing the front desk office, nothing was done to fumigate rooms or change rooms. Previously stayed was satisfactory but next time need to think twice of coming this hotel again.

Good for night stay only

Very good location for shopping and eateries.. But condition of rooms can be better, with little critters crawling around... For night stay is recommended but for leisure and relaxation give it a miss.

Old 2* Hotel in need of repair

Pros: Location
Cons: Room renovation, incl. pool and gym facilties.
Location: Food and shopping everywhere...
***** Definately not a 4 star hotel***** All staff were all very freindly, generally helpful, and apologetic (at appropriate times), however we found ourselves without towels one day and without toilet paper three (out of four) days. Some days our service calls would not be actioned until calling 3 or 4 times, often over several hour timeframes. The room was mostly clean, except some dust builld up in hard to get to to places, however our toilet was blocked and there was significant damage in the room (windows not able to be clsoed, power points damaged etc.). Hot food order from room service was delivered cold. The location was great for us as we were able to walk to almost everything we wanted, and the private tour operators at the front were very helpful :)

Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast, room maintenance, lobby.
Hotel is centrally located that is the only positive. The breakfast spread is bad, rooms and service are just about average.

Pitstop hotel

Room small. Wall to wall between queen bed. Staff are not friendly and rough. Reception area a bit mess. Credit point fr this property are walking distance to Sogo Shopping Mall and local stuff at market area.

Convenient & accessible

Deluxe Room quite ok. Hotel is opposite Jakel mall & abt 10 min walk to sogo mall. A lot of hawkers nearby so easy to get food. Slow Check in, got our 2nd room 2 hrs later. Poor Wifi connection.
