Central position with a kind concierge on duty

Posted Oct 2, 2017
Pros: Central position. Nice, modern stainless steel kitchen. Kind, helpful and friendly concierge.
Cons: Parking, please, especially for overseas travellers doing road trips. Public transport not a an option when one is doing a road trip in a rental car.
Location: Lots of shops, restaurants. Surrounding interesting architecture. Great for looking around on foot with camera.
Right in the city. Ground floor room, quite adequate for 1 night's stay near the city. I was on the road trip. Parking was a real problem, what with all the rules and regulations, restrictions with day and time, and road cleaning vehicle coming around in the middle of the night, and parking was only allowed on one side of the road (but not at private parking spaces and all other spaces already taken) and not the opposite side. Drove round and round in the middle of the night trying to find a park. In the end, the concierge very kindly offered to keep an eye out for the cleaning vehicle and request that the operator not to damage my rental car. Highly commendable!

Good location to walk

Posted Mar 29, 2017 on Hotels
Good location and friendly reception. They really need to have bigger pillows as the ones in use currently are pathetic. As you would expect, bunks were not overly comfortable and were really squeaky. Do not expect a room prior to 3pm as reception is closed! This was in contradiction to an email sent from the manager advising reception is available 24 hours...

Decidedly average at very best.

The bed was lumpy, as were the pillows. The floor in my bathroom hadn't been cleaned, I found cut nails scattered throughout. There was no curtain, so constant light from either day light or street light through the night. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Area lacked much about it, but I guess was quiet in terms of being a while away from the old town and tourist areas.

Private bathrooms available, great location.

Posted Jan 19, 2017
Great place to stay. Robin checked us in and was quick and easy. Sheets and towels provided without charge. Clean beds and bathrooms. Hostel was very close to the T-bana. Convenient location, walkable to all over Stockholm. Highly recommended!

Small room, no window with attached bathroom

Posted Dec 30, 2016 on Hotels
The location is good. Near to bus stop and Metro station. A supermarket is nearby. Room is small (however it comes with an attached bathroom). The room is half-basement with no window. Instead, an array of glass tiles is fixed on the top end of the room wall. Although it let some sunlight into the room but at night there was a strong down light just outside these tiles. So do prepare your eye-cover or request not to have these rooms (room no. 30-33). However the common kitchen is really useful. And the luggage room service of the hostel is a plus ( accessible by a personal code even after check out).

Clean, convenient and discipline one

Friendly staff, convenient location where close to bus stop and subway station. 2 markets are also near the hostel so shopping for food doesn't require much to walk. Room is clean and comfy, food is only allowed in the kitchen and designated place to eat. Alcohol is forbidden in all hostel but somehow it makes the stay safer!

Nice experience, good for a city break

Posted Oct 31, 2016 on Hotels
friendly staff and very helpful, close to a metro station, only a few stops away from the city center. The room was clean and cozy, the only negative part would be the mattresses which are either poor quality or very old. Couldn't sleep good on it and may cause pain on the lower back.

Great hostel but no windows in room!

Posted Jun 8, 2016 on Hotels
For the price, the Stockholm Hostel is great! Our room was spacious and our bathroom was clean, but the only downside was our four-person room did not have a window at all. With no control over the airflow, the room became quite stuffy and was disorienting to wake up to total darkness and artificial light. The staff is super helpful and they have tons of maps featuring recommended dining/sightseeing/shopping options in the neighborhood of the hostel and elsewhere around Stockholm. I would love to rate this hostel higher but the no-windows thing kinda stinks!
