Good value at Hotel Kununurra

Posted Mar 25, 2017
Pros: The hotel provided lots of nightly entertainment. The room was basic but everything needed was there. It's within walking distance to the town.
Cons: All good.
Location: Lake Argyle trip was very interesting and a swim in the lake with a glass of champagne was exciting. Flight over the Bungle Bungles also great.
Great 4 nights in Kununurra. Stayed there in March and as still the wet season many tours not yet running and areas not yet open though enough to get a good look at the place. The tourist info office very helpful. Joe's cafe next to the butchers is not to be missed for the best fresh sandwiches/rolls & homemade pies & sausage rolls.Dinner at the hotel was exceptional.

Pros: Location Price Friendly helpful staff
Cons: A bit moremaintance Police to be more active with nasty drunk aboriginals
Location: Shops Banks
A little run down Screaming drunk aboriginals in the car park by our room on last night. Police should clamp down on these behaviours. Convient location. Reasonable price that makes it worth while staying night when you live a few hours awzy.

Perfect base from which to explore the region.

Posted Nov 14, 2016 on Wotif
Pros: If you bus into town, this is the ideal location. Cool off in the well-shaded pool area, then hit the bar and restaurant, Friday & Sunday nights best.
Cons: Aircon over the bed in our room was terrible, best way to get a pneumonia when it's +40 outside. Ditch the bedcovers for simple linen and pillows.
The staff made the difference for our 2 night stay in the region, always friendly and helpful with a good knowledge of what to do and see. Unfortunately the Visitor Information Centre was closed (Saturday & Sunday early November) during our stay, and which is rather unfortunate timing for travellers, but the hotel staff made up for this little setback.
