Rooms little shabby , need new carpet but great location and friendly staff. Great breakfast, convenient to all other restaurants and walking areas, located very close to the sea and great views from the windows Have nice indoor pool

Beautiful location on the waterfront. We had a ocean view room that very nice. Breakfast was very good on the veranda overlooking the sea. Pool was a saltwater indoor pool and the “beach” was a patio over the sea wall. Hotel was on the boardwalk so we could walk up and down the area to see the sites and get to shopping and restaurants. The room A/C kept going out and failed to cool the room consistently. The hotel was right on the road and their was no convenient area to stop and unload the car, had to pull up on the sidewalk. Parking was in a nearby parking garage. Overall nice hotel in a beautiful area.

11day restful holiday.
As requested, we had a top floor room, 607, and we found this to be extremely comfortable with fantastic views. The half board meals were excellent, both in quality an quantity with plenty of choices.

Everything was great with the exception of the water temperature at the beach in front of the hotel. There are number of cold underwater springs in the area and the water temperature, as result, is colder than you would expect. The recopy is simple - walk 300 meters to the left. There is a great public beach over-there and the water is warmer. Otherwise absolutely great hotel with mostly excellent staff.

The staff were helpful, friendly and professional. However due a shortage of staff on arrival the staff felt pressured. It was located with good access to the town, shops and restaurants. Unfortunately the room's air-conditioning did not work despite being informed that it would be switched on when reported. We could open the windows which made it comfortable for sleeping. The breakfast was decent with a variety. Parking was available at the hotel for 75 Kunas. This should have been made clear instead of the "Self Parking" description which was open to interpretation.

Nice location. Great breakfast & dinner dining on the terrace overlooking the bay. Air conditioner was weak. Shower was awkward to use due to tap location. Housekeeping staff was excellent. Only the waitress on terrace at evening had a sharp attitude. She needs service training quickly.

There was no facility online to book hotel parking, and when I arrived at the hotel I was told that the hotel car park was fully booked. As there was a festival on that night, there was no parking available on the street, and after driving round for a long time, I had to use the local multi storey car park. The hotel was very nice and the staff very helpful.

Nice hotel, good size room overlooking the sea. The minus was the climate control in your room - you have NO control over it. We found the room to warm to sleep comfortably at night and left window open to cool the room. Reception told us the whole hotel is set centrally so its all the same, at the time we stayed it was about 24c for May. If your room faces the sun you get warm. Otherwise it was pretty good value.

Great hotel in a picturesque corner of Opatija.
Beautiful resort with lots of very smart hotels. The Hotel Kristal was perfect for a relaxing break for a few days. Would happily have stayed longer had that been possible.

This hotel is close to all amenities, has clean comfortable rooms and views to die for. If inly there was a balcony to truly appreciate the sight. Inly complaint is lifts that are tiny and claustrophobic. Service good, private beach!

Excellent hotel by the water in Opatjia
You can't ask for a better location of this hotel which is right by the water with a 2 minute walk to the center. Hotel reception counter staff, Neven, is very friendly, courteous and helpful. Hotels.ca screwed up by not providing the correct details of the type of room I booked, but upon seeing the email confirmation I brought with me, Neven quickly reassigned me a correct room and resolved the problem. This hotel is the best value for the buck. You must book rooms facing the seaside, and the extra few dollars are worth it.

Sun bathing and swimming
The gardens in the area are nice. On the water and near the shopping and restruants. I didn't want to leave my parking spot because I would have had to pull out and block traffic to lock the spot and the same when I return. There was no wi-fi in the room, only in the lobby.

Heaven on earth - Opatija!
Spent 4 days in a delightful uplifting atmosphere of Opatija. Everything was just as I imagined and even my Yorkie loved it. She especially appreciated walks along Lungamare and the Dog's beach!
