Beautiful hotel
The first room that I was given smelt of cigarette smoke. When I mentioned it at reception, straight away, I was upgraded to another room no questions asked. So I was delighted with that service which was brilliant.

Great Hotel
We stayed 2 nights at the start and end of our holiday in Croatia. Found the hotel to be great in every way. Rooms large and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Enjoyed a very reasonably priced and very good evening meal as well. Only downside (same wherever we visited) the Croatians either don't like or can't make hot coffee - always luke warm!! Apart from that a wonderful experience.

Nice hotel with perfect location at the Rijeka’s old town with the great shopping and dining options. Room was very clean and spacious with beautiful Adriatic sea view. Breakfast was included and delicious! I will come back soon!

Good Stay in center of Rijeka
Positive: Hotel is in very good central location. Easy to find. Breakfast good continental breakfast. Staff very helpful. Negative: Very limited hotel parking is available Parking in a garage is possible which is approx. 8 min uphill walk. Room is a bit tired. Very high bath tub to go in not fit for elderly people. Sheets were stained.

I would say this is a 3 star hotel with basic amenities. The shower head wouldn't stay up without holding it, plus it flooded the floor (luckily my towel was there to mop it up!), the tv only worked intermittently and the iron I asked for didn't work at all! I will visit Rijeka again next year but I doubt I will stay here.

It was warm while we were there and we had a room on the street side. The air coming thru the vent was warm and when we opened the window we had the street noise all night long. Complained to the front desk and they said they couldn’t put on the air as it was October and they were prepared for winter. The outside temp was in the high 60’s and very uncomfortable in the room.

Location is superb. Rooms are small but adequate. Garden restaurant caters exclusively to bus tours and it is off limits to regular guests.

Clean and comfortable hotel. Very central location ... ideal for bars, restaurants, shops etc. Lovely balcony and view ..... only downside was that guests in the next room were talking very loudly on their adjoining balcony after midnight two nights running which disturbed us from sleep on both occasions. Inclusive breakfast was excellent with a big choice of cooked / continental foods available. Would definitely stay here again but would hope for more considerate fellow guests!

Great Location.
This is a great location but tricky to find. Buffet breakfast has a lot to offer. Definitely recommend staying on 7th floor with a view. Room 702 was great. Aside from finding a mostly eaten bag of chips in the mini snack/bar and a flooding shower and sink due to blocked drain, and broken shower hose on the first day. Everything was sorted out promptly. We enjoyed our stay here and the staff were wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.

Best hotel in Rijeka
Bonavia is a fine and efficient four star hotel. On the positive side, the Internet access via Wi-Fi was very fast, the room was very clean, the air conditioning (in spite of 90F) was very efficient, the front desk service was very courteous and efficient. The breakfast that was included in the room rate was standard European breakfast (served in four star European hotels), and the room rate was reasonable. In spite of being located in the center of the city (superbly located), the area is remarkably quiet. On a downside, like most (non-American) European four star hotels, there is no doorman to assist you with your luggage (you will have to carry your luggage ten steps up to the lobby since there is no ramp for the handicap guests), lobby is diminutive, parking (surcharge) is on the public street and may be a challenge to find a parking spot. The garden restaurant caters exclusively to the bus tours (for dinner) and it is off limits to individual gusts. I was offered a table inside a completely empty room that was obviously not acceptable to me. My recommendation is to ignore the restaurant all together. There was no extra electrical outlets in the room or bathroom to charge your Iphone, shaver, or a laptop computer (you must unplug the standing lamp). If you adjust your expectation, you may enjoy staying there. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Wonderful stay
We enjoyed our stay . I especially loved the wellness and sauna included in the price. Breakfast was good and staff friendly and helpful. Room could use more electrical outlets for charging .
