Wow.. okay I am classified as one of those really fussy people, but Coastlands just muted me completely! I was so impressed I even laughed at myself. The staff is the best.. from reception to the restaurant.. the porters..! The breakfast buffet is to die for.. the coffee..! Unforgettable..! except the waiters refused to tell me which brand it is.. lol.! Just one minor thing: the shower in suite 1003 spills water excessively into the bathroom.. I think it just needs a sealant of sort at the bottom of the shower door. Coastlands Umhlanga gets 99.99% excellence from me. I would definitely recommend it for both BUSINESS and LEISURE travels.

Bad service & bad smell in room

Hotel breakfast was halal, hotel did not cater for my needs. Service was also poor.

Conviniend easy access to beach and shopping mall

They had a party on the top floor and music was blaring till 1 am in the morning. Otherwise the overal experience would be 3 star. Friendly staff but the music at night blasting till early hours of the morning kept us awake. The tall restaurant manager were so rude to the bar tender who helped us that I had to tone him tone and give him a piece of my mind. You don't treat your staff with disrespect like that.
