Pros: Beautiful surrounding and quiet and peaceful. Staff are friendly, polite and professional.
Cons: The hotel is getting a bit old and tired. Need new carpets. Need more towel racks and a safe in a room.
Location: Next to the Kyoto International Conference Center and to the Takaragaike Lake. It is a beautiful setting. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful !
The hotel is situated next to the Conference Center and to the Takaragaike lake. It is a beautiful setting and we enjoyed taking a walk just from the hotel. It is a little far away from the city centre and it takes about 20 minutes by subway. But the subway station is within a few minutes walk from the hotel.

We stayed for a week nd were asked to change a room after 5 dys because of a leak in the bathroom. Instead of a regular (and excellent room) we were upgraded to a 2-room suite. A good solution for touble. Views ffom both rooms were very nice. Se lived on the 8th floorand could see mountains, bamboo forest and a nearby village. It's raining more often near hotel than in the center of Kyoto. You can have long wlks round the hotel and see all kind of animals and plants. Very nice location and very close to subway.

Very much enjoyed my stay. Close to the city through the metro and feel that location is beautiful and peaceful. I loved the staff. All were polite professional and kind. Made a huge difference. Rooms were exceptionally large and clean. I was very happy with the stay and missed it as I checked out. Prince Kyoto has left an impression.

Pros: Large room at good price
Cons: very little
Location: It take about 20min traveling from the shopping area to this hotel. There is a lake beside this hotel, worth to pay a visit.
It take about 20min traveling from the shopping area to this hotel. And there is not much restaurants nearby. However, the overall value out-weighted the time expense. The room is so large and clean, the staff are nice too. There is a lake beside this hotel, worth to pay a visit.

Convenient location for Kyoto Convention Center

Pros: Convenience of location for meeting in the Kyoto International Convention Center. In addition, location was away from the bustle of the city center.
Location: Ample opportunity to walk in the park areas around the hotel and experience some of the many shrines in this city.
The Japanese people are known for their graciousness. The Kyoto Grand Prince is just another example of the efforts that are put into the service of guests to Japan. What a wonderful experience!

Pros: The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have ever seen.
Cons: After 9 PM there is no food to be had in the hotel! In a hotel of this quality one expects 24-hour room service for sandwiches and salads and drinks.
Location: The hotel is very conveniently located next to the terminus of a subway line that takes one to many of the places one would want to see in Kyoto.
I stayed there for six nights. The staff was courteous and helpful.

Excellent hotel next to ICC, Kyoto

Pros: Its location, the ambience, the staff, the food, the gift shop, its accessibility to the city centre and most important, its proximity to the ICC.
Cons: I liked most things about this Hotel! Nothing much to suggest!
Location: This place is like a resort and a getaway. Very useful for conference goers to the ICC. Downtown Kyoto with things to do is a 20 minute subway ride.
I participated in a conference last week at the ICC, Kyoto. This hotel is located at a 2 minute walking distance from the ICC, just across the street. My main consideration while booking this hotel had been this reason. When I reached the hotel, I was struck by its extraordinary ambience, the quiet neighborhood, the excellent staff and food facilities, besides the fact that it is actually very well connected to the Kyoto downtown and the Kyoto station through the subway (Karusima line). Ask for a mountain facing room, is available. It ensures that you have an excellent view of the morning sunrise over the hills every morning! Wonderful view! The Christmas tree in the centre of the courtyard, and the soft music in the corridors the moment you stepped outside the room added a sense of comfort.

Pros: Spacious rooms and handy for conference centre.
Super hotel but out of town. Even as single female felt safe travelling on subway so not really a problem.
