Definitely not a 4 Star Hotel

Posted Aug 22, 2016
Pros: The hotel is probably fully adequate as a 2-3 star hotel
Cons: The star rating should be more reflective of the actual service and facility level
Location: The hotel is very well located close to bus and subway and the main shopping areas.
We were quite disappointed when we arrived in our room versus our expectations of a 4 Star Hotel. Although room size is not necessarily a big deal, the placement of the queen size bed against the wall makes it difficult for two people to comfortably get into or out of the bed at night. The provision of multi-use bottles of shampoo, body soap, and conditioner is disconcerting when you don't know the hygiene practices of the previous guests. Fortunately we had our own personal supply with us. Finally the trek from the single bank of elevators to our room was probably 400 meters and we weren't in the furthest rooms. With about 100 rooms on a floor and 10 floors in the hotel, the single bank of 4 elevators was woefully inadequate at peak hours during check-ins and check-outs.

Ottimo per la sera

Posted Aug 15, 2016
Vicino alle principali attrazioni per la sera raggiungibili a piedi. Per visitare i vari templi della città i collegamenti non sono ottimali. Le linee dei bus non sono molto comprensibili e la metto non raggiunge tutte le destinazioni.

We are thankful that you appreciated our location, service of our staff and proximity to public transportation. We are indeed located within walking distance of so many of Kyoto’s main attractions and only one block away from the river and only minutes away from Gion. Good hotel in a great area of Kyoto

It was fine. We had hoped that "spa" also meant bath/onsen - but it didn't.

The room rates were too high.

Posted Jun 26, 2016
Pros: Convenient location. Quiet.
Cons: Up date the bathroom. Modernize the air condition system. A safe in guest room.
Location: close to downtown.
Good over all. The facilities are not quite up-date for the price.

Great location in the heart of Kyoto

Posted Jun 14, 2016
Pros: Location. We requested a non-smoking room for Husband/Wife/17 year old son. Beds were fine and it really was a dedicated no-smoking room.
Cons: Modest updating would be great. However, it is not an urgent need. Everything in the room was in good working order.
Location: Shopping districts in three directions. Convenient jump off point for day tours to Nara, the Golden Pavilion and other must see destinations.
Stayed four nights at the property. Well located. Would definitely return. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was swamped...not a problem as several great bakeries are located steps away.
