Georgeous hotel in a lovely setting.
One of the best hotels i have stayed in. Reception staff were so polite and friendly. They even let us check in to our room seven hours before check inn. The hotel itself and the room we stayed in was beautiful. Our room had a gorgeous view from the balcony and the french interiors were lovely. Also very comfy bed and spotlessly clean. I also loved the pool area, so peaceful and well maintained.

Bucolique Provence
Hotel ravissant, au cœur de la Provence. Nous connaissons bien l’établissement pour avoir été un client régulier du spa et des deux restaurants. Et là nous passons une nuit sur place et profitons de l’ambiance bucolique du lieu.

Parking tips, Beautiful SPA and romantic area
Beautiful area and quaint spa. Our room overlooked the whole valley with grapevines and winding hills- breathtaking and it was the least expensive room! Would recommend splurging on the spa -35Euros. Parking is tricky- recommend going straight to hotel running in and getting code to their site- drive down a hill, then sharp turn on 1 way street to the right. Look for the hotel name and a paragraph on the sign (all in french), enter code then get back in car -drive thru gate.

It was ok, we were there for 2 days and wanted a relaxing break. The village is quaint with a few nice restaurants and village feel. The hotel was nice but the welcome put us on the wrong foot, we almost felt like we weren’t welcome. I let my partner do the liasing after that, we didn’t go to the restaurants or spa and spent most of the day away from the hotel so can’t comment on those aspects.

A well positioned, well maintained, characterful property within yards of beautiful views. A range of restaurants on the doorstep. Easy parking in a separate car park within a couple of hundred metres although slope and stairs are steep with cases so recommend dropping of first. Regrettably someone rammed our car and didn’t leave any details and car park has no cameras, none of this was the hotels fault and they did their best to be as helpful as they could. We ate in the bistro which was a little disappointing. Breakfast in the hotel was good. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Everything about this hotel was a relaxing oasis. The spa is fantastic, I would highly recommend going down and getting a massage. The room was absolutely perfect and adorable. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and even with some language barrier at times, I would absolutely stay again.

Good food, small rooms
1-star Michelin restaurant lived up to expectations. Low-season room rate was very reasonable, picturesque medieval village. As expected in an older European building, rooms were small.

Great hotel! They had a friendly front desk staff that assisted with anything you might need (and spoke English). Hotel is small and very homey feeling. It has a spa, pool, and several great restaurants in the adjoining buildings. It also had it's own parking lot a quick walk away and provided specific instructions for entry. Our room was extremely comfortable and clean with beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards. A great location to walk around La Cadiere-d'Azur and/or use as a home base to explore Provence.

This boutique hotel is five star! Charming in every way. Extremely clean and well run by extraordinary staff that cater to your every need. Spa was small but very nice. The real treat was the hotel restaurant. A one star Michelin rated restaurant that was the best food we had in all of France.

Beautiful village, lovely hotel, room was tiny.
Lovely place. The room we were given was too small to put our bags down. One person had to sit on the bed for the other to walk to the window or the bathroom. No room this small should be selling at the price we paid; we requested a larger room, and were offered one for 60% more.

Slice of heaven
Amazing overall experience. The town has breathtaking views and really feels untouched by time. If you're looking for an authentic French experience, this is it. Not many people spoke English besides the hotel receptionist, and the menus were all French, but everyone was very kind and we managed without any problem. This hotel is the best in the area and has two incredible, well renowned restaurants attached. The gastro was closed during our stay (Monday's and Tuesday's) but we tried the bistro and it was great, with a beautiful view. The pool, courtyard and spa were very clean and relaxing. Only critiques were that the shower was tough to operate and it flooded our bathroom. AC was a bit tricky as well. Also, the service entrance was right below our window and woke us in the morning. Very minor in the grand scheme and we would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Great small hotel in beautiful area
Beautiful double aspect rooms with views, secure parking, friendly receptionist, stunning village- our return stay and likely our regular choice in the area. It's a small quiet village with very few eateries yet there is a gastronomic restaurant and brasserie in the hotel a great cave serving wine and light meals opposite the hotel, a small pizzeria, a bakery, a bar and a restaurant at the end of the village street. So, if you are there for a few days there is more than ample choice.

I was racing in a 24 hour race at nearby Paul Ricard. My partner found the spa and was quite happy, whilst I popped back and forth as driving duties allowed. Friendly staff and SUPERB cuisine in both restaurants. Probably the best I have ever eaten in France.

Very cute little hotel in a tiny village.
We thought the hotel was lovely, slightly overpriced for what it was offering. Breakfast we thought was expensive at €22 per person for a tiny hotel in a small village. We would expect to pay that in a European city. I also felt that charging €37 for use of the spa was crazy. My overall instinct was that they were only interested in the cash generation per client rather than offering the user a fantastic experience. On the hole we liked the hotel very much and would probably stay there again if we were in the area, but I don't think we would head back especially.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful medieval village
For my wife and I it was a return to both the Hotel and beautiful village of La Cadiere DÁzur. We found the hotel considerably improved in both comfort and standard. Perfect for those seeking peace and tranquility in a comfortable environment with the benefit of a superb 1 star Michelin restaurant.

A fantastic hotel with friendly helpful staff nothing was too much trouble. The room was smaller than expected but had a balcony and was decorated in the style of Provence. A family run hotel and the only on in La Cadiere D'Azur but clearly the pride of both. I would recommend this hotel but beware there are steps.

Beautifully maintained historic hotel in a charming Medieval hilltop village. The rooms are tastefully and comfortably appointed. Our room had a spectacular view of the valley and Le Castellet across the way. The restaurant and bistro were wonderful, with great views and superb food. Staff was friendly and helpful.

A memorable stay in the cutest of French villages
During our stay at Hostellerie Berard and Spa, we first enjoyed the hospitality of their personnel. We stayed in a room in the "couvent" (an 11th century monastery). The room was fairly small but optimized for a comfortable stay. The room was very quiet and we had a great view of the surrounding hills and vineyards. We tried their Michelin restaurant and definitely recommend it as well. We also liked the village so much that we ended up spending there more time than we were originally expecting. La Cadiere d'Azur is a perched village dating back to medieval times, with (very) narrow streets; it is very lively and we found it more authentic than its neighboring village Le Castellet.

Great Location
This review is going to be slightly mixed. The location is fantastic a really beautiful french village. The Hotel is also very beautiful with a lovely swimming pool and the service couldn't be faulted - helpful and always with a smile. We were not happy with the first room we were offered so we were immediately offered 2 other rooms to choose from. The rooms are small but beautiful, shower room was also very small but shower was lovely. Overall our stay was great however there were two downsides - firstly the price of the food at the Hotel is crazy but as long as you know this before you arrive that's fine - we ate out every night in the village which was lovely, and secondly the beds ......really hard and uncomfortable which was such a shame because everything else was great!!!

Loved it!
The hotel emphasizes the smallness of its rampart rooms, but we found the room excellent; we've stayed in smaller that were far less pleasant. The updated bathroom was great, and the view was delightful. Great friendly staff were very helpful. On a Sunday morning, we bought the best croissants ever at a local bakery and ate them at a local cafe with our espresso while reading British newspapers from the local news dealer. One caveat, La Caderie d'Azur closes up early, so go to dinner before 9:30 PM. Not an easy town to find, but a fabulous find once you're there. Highly recommended.

gastronomically satisfying
Very pleasant stay in an old, but well maintained building in la cadiere d'azure. Highlight by far was dinner at their restaurant which was of exceptional standard both in quality of food and service. Try the degustation menu. While hostellerie Berard sort of 'dominates' the town, and obviously a major reason why people visit, there are other things to see and do in a very pretty historic town; had some good simpler food at a couple of other places also.

Lovely town!
At $150 euros per person, the dining room of this hotel is ridiculously expensive! The coffee shop/bistro is better, but reception and service were abrupt and discourteous. The front desk staff were the opposite. We had a problem with our reservation (our fault). The receptionist worked it out with the assistance of Hotels.com cheerfully and courteously! Thank you! Our room was comfortable and clean and had a wonderful view. The pool is across an alleyway from the bistro and could be better. The town was beautiful and quiet. People were friendly. The hotel is conveniently situated right on the main street. Overall, the best place to stay in this village.

La Cadiere - lovely hill village
Hostellerie has two restaurants. 1 rosette 'Rene Bernard' is outstanding and deserves more rosettes. The 'junior' restaurant has a good location but indifferent food and service. Avoid. Village is gorgeous with wonderful views, a nice bar and pleasant shops, populated by agreable people. Nearby Le Castellet is equally appealing.

Fantastic Stay at Hostellerie Berard & Spa!
My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights at this hotel in August. The hotel is situated in the small hill top town - Cadiere D'azur, and our room had glorious views of vineyards from our balcony. We booked a small room, but it was an ample size for 2 people and the bathroom, complete with a monsoon shower and lovely toiletries more than made up for the small room. Our room was somewhat nosiy at times as there are two restaurants attached to the hotel (one of the kitchens was directly beneath our room) but we found this to be part of the ambience of the hotel. We would recommend the Bistro, delicious meals and wine with superb scenery stretching out in front of you. The Spa experience was so relaxing, and the staff were so welcoming. It is expensive and there is an hourly rate or half day rate for Spa use but worth the extra expense. Parking is not a problem - we dropped our bags at the hotel and then parked in the free public carpark a few minutes walk away.

This lovely hotel has lovely atmosphere & fabulous views from the back & side, including restaurant & bistro. Restaurant prices amazingly high, fabulous food. Bistro more reasonably priced & fabulous food too. If you are wanting to make the most of the health spa, check prices first as everything costs. Overall a very relaxing & high quality break.

Excellent place to relax
If you are looking for a sleepy French hilltop village with spectacular views over the vineyards, then this is the place to come. Our room was a little on the small side but more than adequate, however I wouldn't want to stay there for more that a few nights. Found meals in hotel itself to be expensive with the quality not quite up to the price, but the village is well worth the trip.
