There are no alternative 4-star hotels in this town with equivalent facilities of spa and restaurant and outdoor grill haus. Hence the "monopoly".
Alas, for a 4-star hotel, it has no cool air conditioning. There is a thermostat on the wall set to 20°C minimum AND maximum temperatures. That sounds wonderful, except nothing happens as there is no cool air outlet and the room temperature showed 26°C, which matched the weather report. That is the "hot" part of this review.
You can open the patio door for outside air to circulate but it's also at 26°C. Also, flies and other insects can get in to dive at you. It is Switzerland after all, and the cows are in the next field, fully equipped with flies.
I've stayed here both in Winter and late Summer. Temperature control is much better in Winter.
