Hot monopoly in La Chaux de Fonds
There are no alternative 4-star hotels in this town with equivalent facilities of spa and restaurant and outdoor grill haus. Hence the "monopoly". Alas, for a 4-star hotel, it has no cool air conditioning. There is a thermostat on the wall set to 20°C minimum AND maximum temperatures. That sounds wonderful, except nothing happens as there is no cool air outlet and the room temperature showed 26°C, which matched the weather report. That is the "hot" part of this review. You can open the patio door for outside air to circulate but it's also at 26°C. Also, flies and other insects can get in to dive at you. It is Switzerland after all, and the cows are in the next field, fully equipped with flies. I've stayed here both in Winter and late Summer. Temperature control is much better in Winter.

Grand Hôtel Les Endroits
Excellent restaurant, modern rooms with minimalist design. Bar area lacks atmosphere. Currently undergoing a major development to add a health spa, so construction work kicks off at 8.30 each morning. A few km from the town so best to have some transport with you.

Suprisingly good
The hotel was a little hard to find, up a narrow road above the town, but worth the effort. Very helpful receptionist and nice room. Managed to get by speaking English but French would make it easier. Good Wi-Fi.

Dans l’ensemble tout c’est très bien passer, le personnel tres sympathique, le fitness et le wellness top. Par contre le déjeuner étais compris dedans mais il étais vraiment petit et si on voulais des choses en plus tout étais en supplément donc un peu dommage et l’emplacement de l’hôtel en hiver et un peu compliquer si on as pas une bonne voiture. Mais sinon c’est vraiment un chouette hôtel avec des paysages juste magnifiques.

Bonjour, Tout t'abord nous vous remercions d'avoir choisi Les Endroits pour votre séjour et pour votre chouette commentaire. Nous souhaitons juste apporter une précision concernant le petit-déjeuner, le choix au buffet est très vaste avec beaucoup de produits locaux-régionaux. Cela comprend assortiment de diverses viandes froides, fromages, bircher müesli maison, fruits et légumes frais, divers mets d'oeufs comme les oeufs brouillés par exemple, céréales avec lait de vache ou lait d'amande, pains traditionnel ou sans gluten, mais aussi jus pressés, prosecco, et autres à découvrir sur place. Le petit-déjeuner au buffet est inclus dans le prix de la nuitée. Vous avez choisi de prendre votre petit-déjeuner en chambre, dans ce cas il y a un certain nombre de choses incluses et d'autres qui sont sur commande et payantes. Nous serions très heureux de vous accueillir pour un nouveau séjour bien-être et vous adressons nos meilleures salutations.

Chambre spacieuse, équipée simplement avec l'essentiel mais fonctionnelle hôtel bien entretenu mais à rénover bientôt SPA & piscine + salle de sport au top, un vrai moment de détente dommage que le tout ferme à 21h... Cuisine traditionnelle très bonne mais à rendre plus dans l'air du temps très bons vins ! personnel au top, surtout à la réception, mériterait de gagner en efficacité au restaurant le soir (j'ai attendu presque 10 min pour être installé alors que le restaurant était à moitié plein) Alentours très verts (forêt, plaines...)

Hotel très bien entretenu même si commence à être un peu vieillot Très propre Personnel très serviable, souriant, à l'écoute. Surtout à la réception. La gérante est toujours et prend soin de son hôtel. Elle gagnerait certainement en sympathie si elle souriait un peu. Restaurant très bon mais cuisine à moderniser

Sehr gutes Hotel, leider ist der Empfang nicht der deutschen Sprache mächtig. Dies ist sehr schade in dieser Preisklasse Aber sehr freundlich 😊, ich empfehle es weiter!

Eine gute Wahl
Freundliches Personal und eine gute Kueche. Besonderheit und gut es gibt kein Problem mit parken, da ein grosser Parkplatz am Hotel vorhanden ist. Das Fruehstuck ist reichlich.
