Amazing stay at Hotel Martinez

Pros: Great location, beautiful room, great service
Cons: Lunch prices are ridiculously expensive and food was nothing special
Stayed at Hotel Martinez for a couple of nights last weekend. We got upgraded to a beautiful brand new room and really enjoyed the stay there. Close to the beach clubs, restaurants etc - loved the experience and would come back.

Great Experience and the best view in Cannes

Cons: I would improve the wifi and the TV selection should be much larger.
It was a great experience in every way. Loved the room, all the staff were great, the location is perfect.

I am happy to read that you enjoyed our rooms and our staff. I will not forget to tell them that you highlighted the atmosphere of our property. Concerning the Wifi, I am sorry you had to suffer from it during your stay. I am pleased to let you knwo that with the rénovations going on, it is already in our plans to update our system. As per the TV selection, we currently have 94 chanels to offer to our guests, I am sorry to let you know that we are not planning in adding some for next year. However, we will have much more modern TV options, like the apple TV etc... and I hope we will have the chance to show you our improvements in our brand new rooms when the Martinez will reopen next year for spring 2018. Walk to Portofino

The Hotel Martinez was a perfect location to take in the French Riviera. My wife and I walked 2 miles to Portofino and took the boat ferry back to Santa Margharita for a wonderful happy hour on the beach cafes. The area behind the promenade is loaded with small restaraunts and shops. We enjoyed 2 hours at the pool soaking in the sun and drinking champagne and nibbling on Croissants!

Pleasant stay

Pros: Good location, good interior.
Our room was spacious and nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. The glass shower door in the bathroom was missing, there was a cheap curtain instead. The water taps were too short and too close to the basin edges, so that water often spills over the basin table. Z Plage beach was a bit of let down. The beds were too flimsy and would fold if moved back or forward. There were no barriers between other people's beds - too little comfort. There are much better equipped beaches around. The room service and beach food prices are rather poor value: 49 euros for a club sandwich, 10 euros for a coffee. It was a pleasant stay overall. The hotel is located close to much better beaches and restaraunts, which we ended up using.

Wrong room, Elec & Water cut off. Pool hired out!!

When I arrived at the hotel I was not given what I had paid for but instead a smaller room which to be honest smelt and there was absolutely nothing “deluxe” about it. It was not even the correct size but smaller. When I checked in I showed the lady my booking so there could be no mistake. I decided to go and ask what size the room was and I was told “about” 30 square metres. When I said I had booked a 40M room she asked if I had proof so I went and got my booking from the room. When I returned she then pointed out that the size of the room is not stated on the booking so I had to go to the trouble of going on your website finding my room and then cross referencing it to the room I had booked. I do not expect to have to do this and it was not a good start to my stay. I was then told that the only other room was by the pool. I told her that I had booked a sea view not poolside and she insisted that was all she had available so I told her that I would like some of my money back as I had not received what I had booked. ONLY THEN did a room become available and I was moved Then as if that wasn’t bad enough we were then told that the water was going to be cut off for refurbishments and all we were given was 3 small bottles of water. Then the day after the electricity was going to be cut off for refurbishments and we didn’t have power in our room until gone 5pm! Then we’d have a day when the pool wasn’t available because it had been hired out!!! Wasted Money.

Nice Location,overpriced, small room, old fixtures

Location: its the start of the walk
Overpriced small room that have a nice view nearly double from back side. While the back side has a train tracks and the room is from the 90th. Receptionist were rude and unhelpful especially from having booked from. finally 40 euro for the breakfast they offer is way too much.
